This book is trusting. The author isn't. For this chapter, we're going to learn about two specific events. Exciting, isn't it? Like remembering it's your birthday. Speaking of birthdays, let's look at my most recent one. Started like any regular birthday; waking up in excitement, eager to see friends. I brought cupcakes. This may seem like a random statement, but it'll show its importance later on in this little story. I was late for lunch, so the usual table was full with my friends - friends who didn't save me a seat. One girl was already sitting with me on my table, one girl left the other table to join us. None -I repeat- none of my other "friends" talked to me that day other than when they asked me for a cupcake. Yep, that's the only time my friends spoke to me on my birthday. They even tried to get the two friends that did sit on my table to leave me and join them. I was already feeling like crap at that point, but to top things up, they started singing me happy birthday. The moment they started singing, tears started streaming down my face as my happiness was shredded into a million pieces. The shattering of my joy continued on for about eighty minutes as I tried to make myself look normal again. Oh wait, I was never normal. I guess I tried to make myself look as normal as I possibly could. I tried to stay positive, even though I was dying on the inside. Oh, and I lied to my non-existent audience. Sorry. I promised you two stories in one chapter, but I failed to mention that the chapter was split into two parts. Just in case you're wondering (but that's not likely because no one is actually reading this) the second event will be in the second part because I feel like it should get its own chapter. Is my non-existent audience sitting on the edge of their seats to find out what happens? Well, I'll give you a hint: Facebook messages are evil.
