"Your hair is not that color," her hair was now red instead of her traditional blonde.

"It was not that way last Thursday, was it?"

"No. I actually just changed it this morning. What do you think?" She gave a forced half smile which screamed for approval. I couldn't help but smile.

After staring at her for what might have been too long, I felt like I had to respond, "I don't know. It's different."

"A good different?"

I stared at her for a bit longer. I looked into her eyes, and then her outfit, and then back into her eyes. Her blue eyes were as beautiful and as captivating as ever, but they didn't match her hair. In any case, she was still adorable by any means.

"I'm not sure. I think I missed your blonde hair...," I said, "but you still look great," I said in reassurance. "It'll take some time to get used to," I added.

"Thanks for giving me an excuse to stare into your eyes though. I think it was the longest I've ever looked into them," I thought to myself.

"Well, let me know how you feel at the end of the night," she said. "Would you like to dance?"

"Yeah, I haven't done a Lindy Hop in forever though."
