Lights Out

(A/N This is a short chapter.)

The lights faded around Jeremy. He looked down at his watch. He was able to make out the time as 5:50. Footsteps and deep laughs echoed around him. He looked at the left door. The bunny had left. He crawled under the desk. The footsteps grew louder. And louder. Until they suddenly stopped. Jeremy turned slowly around to face the left door. Two glowing eyes appeared in the doorway. A chime started playing. Jeremy's ears pricked up, as this was a familiar song to him. Toreador Song, by George Bizet. He tried to grin, but it just wouldn't come. Probably the fact that he was in extreme danger.

The song had almost ended, but was interrupted by a different chime, similar to one of a doorbell. The chime was followed by the sounds of children cheering. Colorful confetti rained down from the ceiling. Jeremy looked down at his watch. 6 am! He made it.

Jeremy crawled out from under the desk, grabbed his duffel bag and squeezed past the animatronic bear. He ran out of the building and all the way back to his house. He needed a word with Mike.
