Throughout the first half of the drive, Lauren refrained herself from pressing the smaller girl for answers. But she was curious to know what was up with her fellow group mate.

After much internal debate, Lauren slowly pulled over to the side of the dim-lit street. Camila furrowed her eyebrows and gave the girl a questioning look.

"You know this isn't my house, right?" Camila raised an eyebrow.

"I'll take you to your house once you tell me what's up with you," Lauren stated.

Camila sighed and ran a hand through her hair, turning to look out the window.

"Camila, I know we aren't the closest of friends but I wanna help y-"

"I don't need your help, Lauren because nothing's going on!" Camila shouted, taking both Lauren and herself by surprise. They both just paused for a moment as the car grew silent.

Lauren slowly reached over and placed a hand on her friend's shoulder.

"You can talk to me, Camila. I'm your friend," Lauren tried to console the girl. "I just wanna be there for y-"

"He hit her," Camila said simply. Lauren paused to process what Camila had just said.

"W- who?" she mumbled. Camila quickly bit her bottom lip. "Camila, who hit who?"

Before Lauren could even get any more information, Camila slammed the car door shut and began walking down the street.

"Shit," Lauren groaned, quickly turning the key in the ignition and lightly pushing down on the gas petal. Within seconds she caught up to the small girl, rolling down her window.

"Camila, get back in the car. We're still ten minutes away from your house," Lauren sighed. Camila just kept walking, even faster this time.

"C'mooon," the green eyed girl was growing tired of fighting her friend.

When Camila didn't even acknowledge the girl in the car, Lauren ran out of options so she stopped the car and honked the horn, making Camila jump and turn to face her. Lauren wore a proud smirk and Camila gave in and trudged over to the window. Leaning down, she stared at the smirking girl blankly.

"Okay, I'll make you a deal," Lauren started. "If you get your ass back in this car and let me get you home safely, I won't say another word about it."

Camila thought for a moment, Lauren held her hands up in surrender. Sighing, Camila slowly got back in the car. Lauren switched on the radio and began driving. Fighting back a small smile when she heard Camila softly singing along to the song playing.

She's a good girl, loves her mama

Loves Jesus and America too

She's a good girl, crazy 'bout Elvis

Loves horses and her boyfriend too

Lauren looked over at her and smiled, "You have a pretty voice."

Camila blushed and returned to looking out the window. Lauren turned up the radio and sang along with the chorus.

And I'm free, free fallin' fallin'

And I'm free, free fallin' fallin'

Now it was Camila's turn to smile at Lauren, "You too."

About ten minutes later, Lauren pulled up at Camila's house. She raised an eyebrow when the girl didn't even make a move to get out.

"Hey, we're here," Lauren said. Suddenly, Camila grew nervous as she just stared at her house. "Everything okay?"

Camila's head shot back over to Lauren and she faked a smile, nodding.

"Alright, weirdo," the green eyed girl chuckled. "I'll see you tomorrow then."

Camila nodded, hopped out of the car and sprinted to her house. Waving goodbye to Lauren as she ran inside of her house. She heard thunder roaring in the distance. Instantly grateful that Lauren had offered her a ride home.

At least someone was looking out for her...
