normal POV
suspense waited
for me
at every corneras soon as ana walked away
i wished i didn't have to wait
for tomorrowi wished i had begged ana to stay
to tell me what to dobut i hadn't
and,
as promised,
ana came back tomorrow,
at lunch"will you do it?" she asked
"to be popular?"i told her i would
"well," she started,
"the reason why
you're not popular
is well...
you not thin like
everyone else
no offence
you're a bit fat"it didn't come as a surprise
i was so oblivious
and stupid
why didn't i see?
they already called me a whale
a sad tear rolled down my
fat cheek"i'm sorry" she said,
"i'm just trying to help"ana was right
she is only trying to help
"you're right""so are you going to do
what i say?""yes"
"well, you'll need a diet..."
she looked inside my untouched lunch box
"don't eat that" she said, pointing at my sandwich"why not?"
"seriously?
how many
fattening carbs
are in that bread?
how many
unhealthy fat
is in that cheese?
and how
processed
is that ham?
that sandwich darling
is going to make you
blow up like a balloon
now tell me;
do we want that?""no" i muttered.
"good"
she eyed my cookie
"well, I guess we can keep those
for now"
she plucked the sandwich
from my fat hands
leaving me with an apple and a cookie,
dumping my sandwich in the binana came to class
with me
and every time
a snicker erupted
behind me
or a scrunched up scrap
if paper was
hurled at the back of my head
ana whispered in my ear
"it'll stop when you're skinny
i promise"when i came home
and she came with me
i told that i was hungry
and she replied
"don't fill yourself
with food
that will enhance your stomach
fill yourself with
calorie less water or even
the satisfaction of
getting thinner
