(okay guys this is going to be short and for that i'm sorry, but i'm going on vacation for a week so it was now and short or next week after more work, sorry :P)
I had walked over to Madame Pomfery’s office and collapsed in front of the door, too exhausted to reach for the knob. Draco had been gone for an hour, so I just left. Madame Pomfery hit me with the door walking out, apologizing profusely and bringing me to the beds.
I was now lying on one, with a whole mess of potions running through my system. I just couldn’t help thinking that had this all never happened everything would’ve been so much simpler. Ron and Harry stopped by later that afternoon, followed by Ginny, Luna and Neville, giving me cards and such things. I had recepted them as well as I possibly could for the circumstances, when I wasn’t spacing out completely I was crying, I think my boggart would’ve changed to a broken heart. I could hear him now ‘Guess what they say is right, mudbloods will fall for anything’
I awoke the next morning to orange juice and oatmeal, when drinking the orange juice I couldn’t help but remember him. I was feeling much better this morning, and got my things together and left, Madame Pomfery had cleared me free to go. I walked up to the Gryffindor common room, waiting for someone who knew the password to come by, I tried to prevent the tears from falling, but it didn’t work, some random 3rd year popped up and said “felix felicis” and the door opened, I repeated her after she was inside, and walked back into the red and gold common room.
I walked up to the girls’ corridor and brought my knees to chest in tears, nobody was back here, it was lunch time, and I was still supposedly in the hospital wing so I was out of classes for the rest of today. I heard a creak as the door opened,
“Are you okay Hermione?” Ginny asked quietly.
“I’m fine Ginny,” I lied, “just a bit tired, catching up on my rest before going back to class.” Ginny’s cat Zenaeya walked in, Harry had gotten it for her earlier this year, and as she walked passed me I started sneezing, Ginny quickly shooed her away,
“Well I guess I’ll let you get some rest.” She said hopefully, “by Hermione.” She picked up Zenaeya and walked out the door. I sat back, going over to her bed and sitting up in the windowsill. Then I looked over at the Quidditch field, Slytherin was playing, I buried my eyes in my arms and started crying all over again, how could he? They weren’t tears of sadness more tears of rage than anything. I watched as they dissipated, and one emerald green spot came flying towards the tower.
I turned my back to the window, pretending not to notice him, reading Ginny’s copy of Muggles and Magic – The Secrets of Our Worlds, or at least pretended to, sneezing quietly, trying to ignore the tap tap tapping on the window. I finally turned around, looking into the stone grey eyes outside the window.
“What do you want?” I mouthed silently to him,
“Let me in.” he said, muffled through the window, the rain that had been falling started to pour down, falling in sheets like a guillotine would making its fall. I opened the window slightly, feeling the cold December air coming in as he flew inside, landing on the red carpet inside the room. He let his broom drop, and I watched as he shook some of the water off himself – all over me. I sneezed again, and then looked back up at him. “Bless you.” He said quietly. I nodded briefly.
“What do you want?” I asked simply, starting to shiver slightly at the open window, he walked over and shut it, draping Ginny’s blanket around me.
