[Author's note: this begins immediately after Alex leaves. It's the same period of time, but from the perspective of Kelsey and the others. This will happen from time to time.]
Kelsey looked around the room her newfound friends. "These people..." she thought to herself, "we've barely just met and yet they were willing to come here and help me.. Why? Why are they so nice?"
"Yo, Kelsey, you ok man?" Joe said, a hint of concern in his voice as he waved a hand in front of her face.
"Huh..?" she mumbled, barely snapping out of her dazed state. "Oh!!! Sorry, uh I was just thinking, I'm fine!!" she continued, followed by nervous laughter.
Victoria stepped forward, "wow, yo were kinda.. Sca-"
"COOL!! THAT WAS AWESOME!! DO IT AGAIN, DO IT AGAIN!!" Aaron interrupted excitedly.
Kelsey froze for a moment before responding, "I-I really don't think I-"
"Aaron, give it a rest, will you? She's had a hard enough time without you pushing her buttons!" Kadie scolded, but not before hitting Aaron on the back of the head.
"Owwwww," Aaron groaned.
"You deserved it," Kadie retorted.
Kelsey smiled at them, "well I know it's late so you guys might want to get home. We have class in the morning, after all. Oh, and Schylure, we'll have to go in early or something to notify Lord Death of what happened."
"L-lord Death?" Schylure stammered "I-Iv'e never actually spoken to him.."
Kelsey walked over and patted his back, "don't worry! He's just a big goofball, really. You have nothing to worry about. Go home and get some rest, ok?"
"Hold up," Joe interrupted, "you sure you wanna stay here alone? That guy didn't get a chance to pack his things. What if he still has a key? He could get back in here while you're asleep."
Kelsey looked down and rubbed her arm silently.
"You're scaring her!" Kadie snapped as she put an arm around Kelsey, "he won't come back, don't worry."
Kelsey smiled up at the two of them, "thank you, all of you, for being so kind and for helping me out. I really do appreciate it."
"No problem!" They all responded in unison.
"I think I'll be fine for the night, but thanks for your concern, Joe." Kelsey said quietly as she hugged him.
Joe patted her back "It's no big deal, dude."
"Now," Kelsey let go of Joe, "all of you need to get home and get some rest, ok?"
"Yanno, Joe has a point. What if Alex comes back?" Aaron looked around, as if to quickly examine the room.
"It would be nice to have someone stay with me for the night, but I couldn't ask that of any of you."
"I'll stay!!!!!" Aaron raised his hand in the air, "please??"
"Alright, but the rest of you GO HOME" Kelsey emphasised the 'go home' as she looked around at everyone else.
"Alright dude, well get going" Joe shrugged as the others began to leave. Before closing the door he turned to Kelsey.
"Have a good night, guys."
"You too" Kelsey waived.
"LATER!!" Aaron laughed.
"So uh.. Sleeping arrangements.. Uh well this apartment kinda pulled one over on us. It said two bedrooms but I guess one of them got knocked out to make the two existing ones into a sort of master bedroom. But there are two beds in there. You can take one of them or the couch, whichever you choose is up to you." Kelsey smiled, looking up at him.
"I'll take the couch!" Aaron said, glancing over at the gaming system by the TV.
Kelsey rolled her eyes, "just don't stay up too late, ok?"
"No promises." Aaron replied, plopping onto the couch.
Kelsey went into another room and brought out some blankets and a pillow, "here, I don't know how many blankets you'll want. I hope this is enough."
Aaron quickly grabbed the blankets, forming them into a sort of nest around himself, "gnite!"
"Nite" Kelsey smiled and went into her room.
A few hours later, Aaron awoke to the sound of movement in Kelsey's room. "What's wha-" he mumbles as he walks over to her door, "Kelsey? You ok?"
No response.
"Who's in there??!"
Still no response.
Aaron tried the handle, but the door was locked. "Well, I guess I have no other choice!!" Aaron smirked mischievously as he moved back and ran at the door, kicking it down. Upon entering the room he saw Kelsey, hanging halfway out of the open window. "Dude, what's going on??"
"Joe was right... He came back.."
