Chapter IV
[Rain’s POV]
This is just like another business arrangement...
*flashback*
It was three months ago when I and my parents eating our dinner together... which is too unusual to happen.
The very last time when we ate together is when I entered high school, nung pinag-usapan namin kung ano yung dapat kong maging achievements at kung anong gusto kong maging course.
So when this unusual thing happen, it’s a serious thing, it’s either good or bad.
Mom glance at me, smiled for good.
“Son...”, she said nervously. Why did she sound like that?
“hmm?”
“What do you think about marriage?”
“ha?”, naguluhan ako sa tanong nya.
She forced a laugh then tumingin naman ako kay dad. He looked very seriously at me.
“You will marry someone after college,”, my jaw drop open. Hindi ako makapaniwala sa sinabi nya.
“This is related to our business.”, he added. I frowned.
Wala pa kong balak ikasal ng ganun kaaga.
“Sorry. I have no intentions of getting married that early.”, I said.
“That will be okay anak, you don’t have to be wed that early.”, mom replied.
“But you will still marrying your fiancée.” , sabi naman ni dad.
“Why do I have to marry someone na hindi ko kilala?”
“Please anak... that girl... has problems, she needs your help. Actually, it’s her parents that have problems on her. They ask help from us.”, mom explained.
“Why do I have to do that?”
“Because—”, hindi na nakapagsalita si mom.
“Because it will be a great deal,”, sabi ni dad.
We don’t really need that one. I told you they need help. Tinulungan nila kami ng nanay mo nung nagsisimula pa lang kami noon, ngayon kailangan nila ng tulong, so mom and I decided to say yes to the offer.
“And besides anak, that girl... matalino sya. maganda.
I raised my both hands up. “Alright. I’ll say yes.
I know that you’re not interested with this... but please cooperate with us.”
