Up slipped underneath the legs of the auto-bots and joined Taz in the circle. They were back to back, decimating the horrid creatures. There were only a hundred left, and Up could feel Taz breathing heavily behind him. Fifty more went down, and Up felt Taz tear away. He kept focused, but saw her running towards a corner being chased by about ten of them.
'TAZ, WAIT!'
It was too late- she slipped on a loose piece of metal, and was sent sprawling forward. The robots laughed mechanically, and aimed their arms at her.
'TAZ!' Up blew the last few robots around him, and took off after Taz.
They unleashed their weapons, and flames spewed out towards Taz. She cried out, rolling onto her back and blowing a few heads off the robots. She ignored the pain in every part of her body, and tried to destroy the robots. Only a few were left, but the pain was too much- and Taz was out.
Up blasted the last one away and ran to Taz's side, shaking her and trying to not aggravate her burns, cuts and other various open wounds. Her mouth was closed tight, and she was unresponsive. Up called her name, but there was no response. Then, he heard it. Ten large thunks. Up turned and saw the shadow of the biggest auto-bot he had ever seen- a large robot head symbol engraved into it's chest. It picked him up, bringing him to eye level. Up knew this monster- Optimus Prime, the leader of the Robot Army.
Up pressed his comm emergency call button, and felt the robot whir.
'Say goodbye to your planet, puny human.' It creaked, opening up it's chest.
Up caught his breath, and heard a mechanic drilling. A large circular buzz saw popped out of it's chest, and Up stared into the robotic red eyes.
A weak voice called from the floor. 'Up!'
Everything went black as the buzz-saw shot out of the robot's chest, slicing Up in half. Taz's cries seeped into's Up's sub-conscious, but he couldn't open his eyes. He felt her hand on his face, but couldn't raise his own. A large thud shook him, and he knew Optimus Prime was destroyed. Taz collapsed on his left, sweat and blood blurring her vision. The last thing she saw before being practically blinded was Up falling through the air to the ground, and diving towards him to help. There was a light and a lot of wind, and Taz knew they'd be okay. She whispered to him, and it was the last thing Up heard.
'Jou promised.'

FanfictionWow really bad title I know. I am so sorry for THAT. Right- back to the description. Well, this story takes place about a week before Taz's 16th birthday, and carries right up until Starship (The Musical). It shows struggles and slightly hard times...
