(Alice POV)

I was cuddling with the new baby and thinking about the choices I'd made. I still had doubts about leaving, but I had just as many about staying. I knew Aunt Mary was right, club life wasn't for families. Unless you were Gemma.

Thoughts turned to my choices prior to the club. They seemed like normal choices. My parents married each other for money, not love. I wasn't really loved much as compared to how I love my children. I was raised by a nanny, and then by myself in boarding school after my mother died of cancer and my father hung himself.

Then came Andrew and his promises for the future. Mak surprised us about a year later, and then came the year-and-a-half-long nightmare of Damien Sparks. Now, I find myself thrown in with a biker gang and a new baby with two possible fathers. Was I just a magnet for bad situations? Did I want that for my children?

My cell rang. It was Tig. Sighing, I answered it. "Hello, Alex."

"Alice, what the fuck is going on?! Why won't you let me see you?"

"Because I need to know who fathered this baby. Until I know, no one needs to be involved." I put the baby in the hospital bassinet.

"But that will take days!"

"No, I have arranged for the process to be rushed I will know in a few hours."

"Great! I will come by tonight. And don't you tell me 'no'."

Knowing we wouldn't be here and how hurt he would be almost changed my mind. "I won't. I'll talk to you later. I have to nurse." I hung up and called Jax. "Hey, it's me."

"Alice, is everything alright? Why wouldn't you let us see you?"

"I don't want anyone getting attached without knowing who's the father. It would be too difficult on everyone. I was wondering if you would bring Mak over? I want my babies to get acquainted."

"Only if I can see you."

"Tonight. I put a rush on the DNA test results. I will get them this afternoon. Just please bring Mak."

He was quiet for a few moments. "Alright. I'll go get her right now."

A half an hour later, a nurse brought Mak in to me. I cuddled with both kids, watching 'Spongebob Squarepants' on TV. Around three o' clock, a nurse came in with an envelope, bearing the test results. "Ms. Larson, as soon as you're ready, your ride is here to take you to your flight."

"Alright, thanks," I responded, pouring over the test results. Finished, I quickly got dressed and hurried out of the room with my kids.

The nurses insisted on putting me in a wheelchair, the kids on my lap. Another nurse carried my bags to the car. As we crossed the lobby, Makayla started to coo and wave. I turned and locked eyes with Tara, who stared at us in surprise. My face grim, I turned away. As we got comfortable in the back of a limo, I saw her on the phone, no doubt calling Jax. I gave the OK and the limo pulled out of the parking lot.

(Tig POV)

Jax and I raced to the hospital after he got a call from Tara. Alice and the kids had left the hospital. We ran into the lobby and were met by Tara. "I just talked to her nurses. She is being transported to the airport, where a private jet is waiting to fly her to Seattle. Someone arranged for the test to be hurried and then arranged a medical transport for her."

"Then we need to get to the airport! Now!" I turned and ran back out to the bike. Jax was right behind me, and we sped off to the Charming Municipal Airport.

Arriving at the airport, we saw a huge jet getting ready to depart. Without a second thought, we rode around the airport and directly onto the runway. We pulled up next to what could only be the limo Alice had left the hospital in and ran towards the jet. We could see Alice and Makayla in the windows, meaning they had already boarded.

We were stopped by airport security. "That's my family on that plane! Let me talk to them! Please!" I struggled against their hold.

"I'm sorry, sir, but it's time for take-off. You'll have to come with us." They started pulling us back to our bikes.

The plane slowly started to move down the runway. As it picked up more speed, I struggled harder. "NO! PLEASE! STOP THE PLANE!" I openly cried as the jet gradually lifted into the air and flew away. I dropped to my knees, Jax next to me with a hand on my back.

After awhile, Jax finally convinced me to leave and we were getting ready to pull out when the limo driver walked over. "Excuse me, I'm sorry to bother you, but the young lady left a letter for Alex? Is that one of you?"

"I'm Alex," I said, sniffing. He handed me the letter. "Thank you. Is she alright?"

"As far as I know, sir. I hope everything turns out alright for you." He tipped his hat and went back to the limo.

Quickly, I opened the letter and read through it. "She's going to stay with her aunt in Seattle. She says she has a lot to think about and isn't sure if she wants the club life for her kids."

"Does she say anything about the baby?" Jax asked, pulling on his goatee.

"Yeah, it's..."
