Fact #101: Swearing Takes Up 0.7% Of Our Daily Language
Humans speak a lot of words a day, and, unfortunately, 0.7% of these words are swear words. The two most spoken swear words are the f - word and the s -word.
The nonsense punctuation we use in comics, was invented by a comic strip artist, which most people find useless, considering that we all know what the word is.
People believe this may be because back in the day, the Victorians believed that swearing, or using God's name in vain physically hurt God himself, and so they came up with the not-so-common swear words used a few years back, like zounds, which literally means God's Wounds.
Ah, humans...Such sad, sad, little creatures.
