I walked quickly from the living room to the hallway leading to the door. I could see him through the window of the door slightly, waiting patiently. I opened the door and saw him. Thank God he hadn't dressed up! He was just wearing blue jeans, a white t-shirt and a black jacket.
"Hey!" he said casually.
"Hey, come in, I just need to get my jacket and bag."
"Sure," he said, again, casually.
I went into the hallway and got my white leather jacket from the end of the stair banister. I tried to pull my hair up into a quick pony tail but Niall stopped me. He gently caught my hands and let my hair fall down.
"It looks nicer down," he said. "Not that it wouldn't look nice up though." he added quickly.
"Thanks," I said, blushing red.
"Ready to go?" he asked, changing the subject.
"Yeah" I said grabbing my black satchel from near the door. As we walked through the door I caught sight of his Black Range Rover parked neatly near my drive. He cleared his throat, maybe lost for words. I didn't know what to say either.
"Um, so I haven't really planned where to go, I don't know what food you like..."
"Nandos?"
"Now you're talking!"
"I heard you love Nandos anyway."
"No, you don't have to go just because I want to go.." he said sounding like he regretted saying that we didn't have to go there.
"No, really I like Nandos anyway" I said reassuringly. We were near the car now. He held the door out for me politely.
"Oh, so it's no 'ladies first but men just before' tonight then I take it?" I said jokingly getting into the car before he could run around again.
"I don't know what your on about" He lied along with me. "I'm the politest man you'll ever meet"
"mmmm. I'll believe that when I see it" I said, still joking.
"You just did see it, I let you get in first. Do you have any idea how tormenting that is for me?"
I laughed evilly. "There must be something about me then..."
"Too right" he muttered. I don't know whether he intended me to hear that or not.
He drove the car quite fast, probably showing off and when we got to the car park outside Nandos he came around the side and opened the door for me.
"Ladies first," he said with a bright smile.
"Why, thank you" I said jokingly.
We walked into Nandos and surprisingly it wasn't that full. There was just a man on his own eating chicken with peri peri sauce. There was also a man and a woman together holding hands underneath the table waiting for their food.
"Where do you want to go?" Niall asked me.
"Err, back corner?" I said. Whenever I came into Nandos I always sat in the table at the right back corner. I never know why, but something just always brings me to there.
"Sure, I usually go there too" he was lying, I could tell.
We walked over to the table and I got one of the menus. I hadn't been in here in what? Four or five months. I had forgotten how good the peri peri chicken wraps were. I also LOVED the chicken wings they did there aswell. Niall didnt bother getting a menu.
"I think by now I should know the menu off by heart seeing as I come here like every week!" said Niall.
"I suppose you know what your getting then." I laughed.
