~That's Isi in his glasses, bitches!!!! Jk, love you guys. Anyway, it took me twenty minutes to find that picture. I almost threw my computer!!! Six times!! But I kept looking, 'cause I knew you guys would like to see His Lord Sexiness in glasses. Also, I was thinking about going and changing the picture of him in chapter two. Think I'm gonna do that right now. Now... read on!~

Quin quit.

That was the first thing I learned when I got to work the day of the almost-kiss (that's what i call it, and don't ask me about it because I'm not saying zip). He quit, said he didn't want to work in a maid cafe his whole life. When he was asked about me, what I would do without him here, he said, "She doesn't need me. She never has." Then he handed in his name-tag, flipped the manager off, and walked out. That wasn't a problem for me, really, since I wasn't talking to him.

And now, yet another week later, I still wasn't. It was mid-November now, and chilly and rainy. I needed new boots: my old ones were ripping and falling apart because of how damp it was all the time. I'd wanted to go to the mall with someone, but I was mad at Quin and Akiro hated leaving his Xbox, especially just to go shopping with a girl. Plus, he had a girlfriend now, and when he wasn't at his Xbox, he was at her house. So I was just going to go by myself, maybe try to find a new jacket too. Actually, I needed a whole new wardrobe, since my mom hid all my winter clothes and I can't get ahold of her.

I was in the midst of putting up my hair when my phone vibrated. I picked it up, wondering who was texting me when Isi was in the livingroom. I was curious when I found it was Akiro, so I opened it.

I need you to come over today, it said. I texted back before he could get distracted.

Uh, why?

Because BO3 came in today! DUH! I need u over here ASAP.

Oh, well I was gonna go to the mall. Can it wait?

No. Quin is being a depressed asshole. I need u here.

Alright, fine. But I'm going to the mall first.

Just hurry, or I'll come find u.

Whatever.

I sighed, picking up my purse and my keys. I grabbed my board from my closet before walking out of my room.

Isi was in the kitchen going through the pantry. When he saw me, he rose an eyebrow. "Where are you going?" he asked me.

"To the mall, then to Akiro's for some video games. I'll see you at around seven."

"Wait a minute. Why are you going to the mall?"

"I need clothes. Why?"

"Give me a minute, I'm coming with."

"Uh, why?"

"My contact prescription is at one of the pharmacies there."

"Contacts? You wear contacts?"

"Yeah, and I lost them. I'm not going to school in glasses."

"Where are they? Your glasses."

"On the counter. I had to take them off. I think I look retarded with them on."

"Really? I think they're actually cover your retardedness."

"Is that even a word?"

"It is now. Hurry up and do whatever you have to do, I have to go to Akiro's later too."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah." He strolled lazily past me and then turned into the hallway. I sighed, leaning up against the bar and stuffing my hands in my pockets. I glanced around, and my eyes landed on Isi's glasses. I walked over and picked them up, placing them on my head. I had to take them off within two seconds, and then I shook my head, placing them back on the counter. Isi sauntered back into the kitchen, and I looked at him.

"You're blind!!" I yelled, pointing at him.

"I'm not entirely blind. Maybe a couple years from being declared blind but not entirely blind."

"My head hurts now," I said, pouting.

"Well, that's your fault. You shouldn't have put them on. Now, come on. I need those contacts." He grabbed his glasses and perched them on his nose. He actually looked pretty hot with them on...

What am I saying?! Ew! Ew, ew, ew!! No!! No, Hisami, that is gross. Never think that ever again!! Yuck!!

"Why are you glaring at me? I haven't done anything to you yet today."

"I'm not--"

"You are. Now cut it out, idiot. You're creeping me out with those black eyes."

"My eyes aren't black. They're just really dark blue."

"Whatever," Isi said, exasperated. "Let's go." He spun me around and pushed me out of the kitchen and through the living room, then out the door. I protested the whole way.

"Hey, knock it off!" I said. "I can walk by myself!"

"Yeah, well, it's faster this way."

"Let me go so I can actually get on my skateboard."

"Wait, you're riding that?"

"No, I brought it for my own health. Yes, I'm riding it, dumbass."

"But I don't have one."

"Sorry. Ride my old bike."

"I'm not riding a girly bike."

"Girly? Ha! No. It's black, thank you. And I'm being serious. You won't be able to keep up with me on my board."

Isi sighed. "Whatever, fine. Where is it?"

"In the garage." I gestured towards the said structure.

"Alright." Isi walked over and disappeared into it, before emerging a few minutes later with my old bike. "How old were you when you got this?" he asked me.

"Fourteen. My parents thought it'd stop me from riding a skateboard."

"You'd think there'd at least be tassles."

"When I was four, my mom bought me my first bike. It was pink and blue with tassles. I told her that I wasn't a sissy and didn't need tassles. And I didn't like pink."

"You weren't a sissy? You said that?"

I shrugged, then smiled. "Quin was born a smartass; he taught me some stuff." I quickly wiped the smile off of my face and then put my board on the ground. "Let's go," I said. Without waiting for him to get on the bike, I rocketed myself down my driveway. I felt the slight sting of tears in my eyes, but I shook my head. Crying was stupid in this circumstance. Besides, I'll be playing Black Ops 3 by the end of the day. There's no reason to cry at all. And I wasn't going to.

Yet, when Isi caught up to me in the mall, he had to ask me why my eyes were red.

Peculiar, huh?
