~That is Hisami's house. Yeah, that's more for my benefit than yours. I need images that aren't just in my head. 'Cause I forget a lot. Soo... yeah. If there's something I've described before this that contradicts this picture, tell me so I can fix it. Also, there's a garage on the side by the livingroom. Byee~

I frowned as I reached for the boots on the top shelf of the aisle. Damn my parents for being short. Damn myself for being short. Dammit!!

"Need some help?" Isi's arrogant voice came. He stepped up beside me and grabbed the boots, then handed them to me with a huge smirk on his face. I wanted to slap him, but instead I slipped one of the boots onto my bare foot, then smiled when they fit.

"Aha!! Got it!"

"You're really going for brown?" Isi asked me.

"Yes, I happen to like brown boots, thank you."

"Okay, maybe if they were Uggs. But these are from Nordstrom."

"So?"

"Well, go for black. These are Aquatalia boots. They look best in black."

"But if I go for black, I'll look goth. And how do you know so much about boots, anyway?"

"My mom used to work at a shoe store. Just listen to me, would you?"

"What if I don't want to?"

"You can look like an idiot."

"I wouldn't look like an idiot just because my boots are brown instead of black!"

"Yeah, you would."

"I would not!!"

"Would too."

"Would not!!"

"Would too!" Isi glared at me.

"What do you know, you're just a dude!"

"Oh, and because I'm a dude you won't listen to what I have to say about your boots?!"

"No, I won't listen to what you say about my boots because you're a jackass!"

"I'm not a--"

"Is there a problem?" came a voice; an eerily familiar voice. A voice I didn't want to hear just yet.

I turned slowly, and my suspicions were confirmed. "Quin..."

Quin stared at me for a minute, then cussed under his breath. He ran a hand through his dark hair. "Can I... Can I talk to you, please?"

"I don't..." Fuck, I was losing my composure. Be cold. Be cold. Be cold, Hisami. You're mad at him. You're mad at him. "Why?" I asked.

"I need to. Really bad."

"Well, I don't think she wants to talk to you," Isi said. Quin moved his eyes from me and turned a glare to Isi.

"I wasn't asking you," he growled. He gave me a pleading look. "Please, Mimi."

"I..." I sighed. "Fine. Isi, will you go pay for these?" I handed him my boots.
