~That's what she wears peoples!!!!!!!!!!! Except for the glasses. Byee!!~
I frowned at myself in the mirror, wondering what it was that I was missing. I had the clothes, the hair, the accessories. I just couldn't figure out what I was missing.
Then it hit me. Makeup.
I walked out of my room and across the hall to my parents'. I knew exactly where Mom's makeup was, because I used to put lipstick on Quin while he was asleep when we were younger. I went over to the vanity and skimmed over the variety of makeup, finally pulling out some gray eye shadow and red lipstick. I thought about getting mascara, but decided against it. I fixed my jacket in the mirror before walking out.
"You ready?" Isi asked me when I walked into the livingroom. He was looking in the mirror by the door, running his hands through his hair--which was wet.
"Mhm," I said. He turned away from the mirror then, and his eyes landed on me. They widened slightly, and he stared at me for awhile. He looked me up and down, his face erupting into a furious blush. Then he cleared his throat and turned back around. He opened the door, then walked out. I followed, smiling to myself.
Once I'd caught up to him outside, his chagrin was gone. He was smirking, actually. "I didn't even know you owned a dress," he said, "especially one that makes you look pretty badass."
Badass? Aww... I frowned down at myself. "I was going for hot..."
"Oh, believe you me, you look hot." He pulled a beanie out of his pocket, putting it on his head and then smiling at me. I rose an eyebrow.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" I asked.
He shrugged. "You're fun to look at like that," was his answer.
"...Dumbass. Let's go."
"Wait, wait, wait."
I turned to look at him. "Whaaat?" I groaned.
He held up a set of keys. "Wouldn't you rather drive?"
"You have a car?!" I asked.
"Yes, I do. I am old enough to drive."
"Why isn't it here?!"
He shrugged. "I like to walk."
"Yeah, but I don't!"
"You poor thing." He stuffed his hands into his pockets, then walked off the porch.
"Where is it?" I asked, following him.
"Around the corner. I went and got it while you were in the shower."
"Oh."
I walked silently beside him for a little bit, making a game out of not stepping on the cracks in the sidewalk. He glanced down at me once, rolled his eyes, then sighed.
"It's right there," he said after a few minutes. I looked up, and then rolled my eyes.
"Typical," I said.
"What?"
"You have a Ferrari."
"So? This thing was 13,000 dollars! It's an--"
"F430, I know. I'm not stupid. Let's go."
We climbed into the car, and I noticed that Isi was sort of pouting. I rose an eyebrow. "What's your problem?" I asked.
"I figured you'd be impressed."
"Nope. Not really. I mean, I like cars and all, but I'm not really into Ferraris."
