Chapter 3

~Four Years Before~

Araceli and Maggie had been friends the best of friends. That was something that Maggie was not going to let anyone EVER find out. Araceli was about one of the nerdiest, loser people that Maggie had met. 

"Excuse me? Can you move?" Maggie said as she walked down Camerado Springs middle school with Quinn, Haley, Savanna, and Emily trailing behind her. Maggie was staring at Sean, a kid that she thought was a dork. "Get out of the way dumb ass" she snarled and motioned for someone to push him out of the way.

Sean nodded and rushed out of the way. She laughed and pushed his books out of his arms and continued walking. Maggie turned around and looked at the girls. "Why didn't you just back me up right now?" she snapped. "You should be grateful that I'm even friends with you guys, because if I wasn't, you wouldn't be anywhere!"

The girls didn't respond, making Maggie even more mad. "You ungrateful skanks!" she said and turned around and walked away. 

Haley looked at her feet. 

Quinn shifted awkwardly.

Savanna looked at all the other girls. 

Emily fixed her glasses. 

"It's okay she'll get over it," Savanna said and continued walking. The other three girls followed her to her locker. Savanna opened her locker to grab out her books while the girls waited for her. 

"I hope she wasn't that mad at us," Haley said, looking at the other girls nervously. Quinn looked behind Haley as Elijah, Haley's crush walked behind her. Quinn grinned at Haley, making Haley looked behind her to see what it was. She looked and scowled at Quinn.

"I'm just playing!" Quinn laughed. 

Haley shook her head and put it in her hands and ran off. Quinn shrugged and started walking to class, waving bye to Emily and Savanna. She walked in, sitting down next to Sammie and Alexis. She looked up from her book and noticed Maggie sitting in the back, talking to Logan. 

"Why aren't you with Maggie?" Sammie snobbishly asked. 

Quinn squinted at her and pulled out her textbook, getting reading for class to start. She looked up to her teacher, Mrs. Annicka who was already writing on the whiteboard. 

"Okay class, today we will be studying the Ancient Incas!" she looked around at the class, as if she expected them to shout out in joy, but no one did. "Who knows where they're from?" 

A few hands shot up around the class but Mrs. Annicka didn't choose any of them. "Get of your phone Maggie. Now. Before I take it away" 

Maggie looked up at the teacher and snorted, putting it away in her bag. Mrs. Anicka called on Sean while he went into a detailed explanation about them, but all Quinn pulled out was one word. Vicous. Quinn looked up and scowled. Kind of like Maggie.
