The next day, Nancy met up with Bess, George, and Kyler.

"Hi ladies, what can I help you look for?" the store assistant asked.

"Hello, we are looking at wedding dresses," Nancy replied.

"Congratulations, come with me!" she said.

The girls all followed her to a large wall of dresses. Bess shrieked when she saw all the glitter and immediately started picking out dresses for Nancy. Nancy traced the hangers with her fingers, lost in thought.

"Ok Nanc, what's wrong?" Kyler said.

"What?" Nancy asked.

"I can tell you're upset. Please, tell me." Kyler said placing a hand on Nancy's shoulder.

" Yesterday I invited the Hardy Boys to my wedding, and Frank didn't act too happy for me. It made me upset because he's been my dear friend for years, why can't he be happy for me? I love Ned, I know I'm making the right choice. "

"Frank is probably just shocked. I mean, you have been dating Ned for years her probably just wasn't expecting to hear the news. Maybe he's jealous, but don't let it ruin your wedding." Kyler said hugging her.

Nancy smiled and they looked around for dresses.

"Ok Nancy, go try these on!" Bess exclaimed.

Nancy came out in all of Bess's picks, none of them her favorite.

"It's not me," she said.

Next, Nancy put on the dress George picked out. It was long with beautiful designs of lace everywhere. However, Nancy didn't feel like it was her dress. When Nancy walked out, a dress handing on the rack close to her caught her eye. Kyler took notice and handed it to her.
Nancy stepped into the dress and immediately fell in love. When she walked out, everybody gasped and exchanged smiles.

"This is my dress," Nancy smiled.

" You look so beautiful. Ned's going to love it!" Kyler said.

" Yes, this is definitely your dress." Bess said.

Nancy paid for the dress and they all drove to Nancy's to put the dress up.

NED

Ned and a couple of his friends had gone out and got the tux. Now, they were going back to his place to talk and watch the game.

"Ned, are you nervous?" his friend, Chad asked.

"A little, but Nancy makes me happy, so I know I'm doing the right thing."

" Never thought I'd see the day that you would propose, " his other friend, Damon said.

" Me neither, but I want to spend the rest of my life with her. She was a little upset because Frank didn't sound happy for her."

"Well hey, the early bird gets the worm." Chad said jokingly.

"Yeah, but he was her friend, and he did that to her."

"I know, I was joking. Ned, I think you've made a great choice." Chad said.

" Yeah, you love her, she loves you. It's about time." Damon joked.

They all laughed and cheered as their favorite player made a basket.

HARDY FAMILY HOUSE
Joe walked down the hallway to his and Frank's room. He softly tapped on the door before pushing it open.

"Frank, mom wanted me to let you know dinner is done." Joe said.

Frank nodded his head in reply.

Joe sat down on the bed next to Frank's and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"What's the matter, Frank? Aren't you happy for her?" Joe asked.

"Of course, but, but deep down I feel that that's not what should be happening." Frank sighed.

"What do you mean?" Joe asked a bit confused.

"She shouldn't be getting married. She should be off solving a mystery or something."

"You love her, don't you?" Joe asked quietly.

Frank gave him a look of defense. How could his dear brother say that? Then, his walls came down.

"Yeah, I love her a lot. She's a great friend and she lights up the room. She's smart without ever being rude, but she isn't mine. Ned loved her first, and I guess I have to accept that." he said.

"Well, is Nancy still your friend?" Joe asked.

"Yes! Of course she is!" Frank said.

"Then you need to tell her that before you lose a great friend," Joe said leaving Frank alone with his thoughts.

" Joe?" Frank called out.

"What is it?" He asked.

"Can we leave for River Heights tonight?" he asked hopeful.

"Yeah, I'll start packing." Joe said.

Frank got out his cell phone and dialed Ned's number. On the third ring, he answered.

"Hello?" Ned asked.

" Hi Ned, listen, I know I made Nancy sad, but I know how to make it better. If you can just let me talk to her tomorrow, I'll make everything better. "

"Alright, I hate seeing Nanc so upset. Yeah I'll tell her to meet you somewhere? Is that what you want to do?" asked Ned.

"Just tell her to meet me at Scoop's, please Ned?" he asked.

"Sure thing, just, don't hurt her anymore than she is. Promise me?" Ned said.

" I promise," Frank said.

"Thanks. Goodnight, Frank." he said before hanging up.

Frank and Joe put their suitcases in the backseat of the car. Their parents were driving up the next day so they'd be ready for the wedding. The brothers waved goodbye and started on the long drive to River Heights.
