TWO DAYS LATER

Ned and Nancy stood on the front porch of Ned's former home. They were waiting for James and his family.

"Are you excited?" he asked hugging her, a coffee mug in his hand.

"Yes, do you think you nephew and niece will like me?"

" Our nephew and niece will love you. I know they will," he said kissing her.

Then, they looked as James and his family pulled into the driveway. Ned and Nancy walked out to their car and they were greeted with hugs.

"Nancy, it is so nice to see you." Elena said.

"It is very nice to see you as well!" Nancy replied.

"Would you like to come greet your nephew and niece?" she asked with a smile.

Ned gave her a smile and she walked over to the backseat. The three year old boy looked up at Nancy with big blue eyes and smiled.

"Auntie NancNanc?" he asked his mother.

"Yes, that's uncle Ned's fiancé." Elena said.

Norman hugged Nancy and gave her a big kiss on the cheek. In the car seat next to him, Alice whimpered. Nancy undid the buckles and held the little girl. She stopped crying and nuzzled into Nancy's chest.

"You're so good with her," Elena said.

Ned gave her a thumbs up and they all helped get James and the rest of his family set up in the guest room. Ned's parents hugged their grandchildren. Then, they saw another car pull into the driveway. It was Peter and Lilith.

" Hi Ned and Nancy! How are you?" Peter asked.

"We're good." Nancy and Ned said.

" Nancy, we have your present I'll go get it." Lilith said turning around.

When she came back, she ushered for Ned and Nancy to sit on the couch. Lilith handed them a large box wrapped in white and gold paper.

"Let's open it!" Ned said.

They undid the ribbons and Nancy nearly cried when she saw what was inside. It was a huge photo album with little memoirs and things cut out from all their favorite places together. Under the album was a T-shirt that read, "Mrs. Nickerson." Nancy smiled and laughed.

"Thank you so much, these are amazing." she said.

"Welcome to the family," Lilith, Peter, James, and Elena all said giving her hugs.

Nancy and Ned left later that night and they drove passed her house.

"Ned, where are we going?" she asked.

"It's a surprise!" Ned said.

A couple minutes later, they parked in front of Bess's house. Whenever they opened the door, everyone shouted, "Surprise!"

Kyler, Matt, Bess, George, Moira, James, Peter, Lilith, Elena, Carson, Norman, Alice, Frank, Joe, Mr and Mrs. Hardy, and all of their other friends were all in the living room with presents and cake.

"They threw us a wedding shower?" Nancy asked.

"Yes, all for us." Ned said hugging her.

Everyone sat down and Ned and Nancy were given gifts to open. They received things like a coffee pot, money, and other small appliances and cards for their future life together.
Next, some of their friends stood up and started reading letters they wrote. Bess spoke first.

" Nancy and Ned, I always knew you two would get married. You two are absolutely adorable and I'm so excited for you two to start a new chapter of your lives as husband and wife." Bess said.

" I've known you since you were a wee little rambunctious toddler and remember wondering who you would grow up to be. I promised your mother is be here to witness your special day and I know she would've loved to be sitting here right now admiring the woman you've grown up to be. Congratulations, Ned and Nancy." Moira said.

Nancy wiped away a tear and kissed Ned's cheek.

" Nancy, as your father it is always my job to steer you in the right path. You truly are on the right path and I can tell Ned loves you a lot. Your mother would be so proud and I cannot wait to walk my little girl down the aisle to her future husband. Ned, you are a great man and my daughter is lucky to have you." Carson said.

They all chatted and ate cake. Whenever Nancy got back, she was exhausted and passed out on her bed. Yes, she was ready to start her new life with Ned.
