Chapter III: Writing on the Wall

I was officially terrified. I wanted answers. But I was also afraid. I got off the couch and ran to find my laptop. I pulled it from under the hotel bed, its nice little hiding place. I turned it on. "Well, say good by to all those little poems, pictures, and stories I had on this thing," I sighed to myself. I plugged in the USB, scrolled to the little icon, and clicked. Immediately the screen on my laptop went black, and White text appeared on the screen.

I wasn't exactly sure what to type. Or click for that matter. I assumed it was were I put the password. I typed in AbSenseMiND. Such a strange password. The screen changed again. This time, the screen was purple with black writing. Everything was changing on this screen. There was but one area that wouldn't. I clicked it and typed in Nightshade Shadows. More weird passwords. This time the screen blacked out and I was pretty sure this was all some elaborate joke or something. Until a screen with a brain appeared with tons of files appeared.

I wasn't sure which to click. Each had a weird name. "Symmetry Doll", "Eve's Ivy", "Withered Garden". "What the hell is with these names?" I asked myself. I finally found one titled, "Nightshade Shadows". "Jesus, took long enough." I clicked the file. The page was outlined in the flower and berries from the nightshade plant. The page was colored lilac with empty space. There was a black square in the corner. I clicked that. Maybe it would give me answers.

Good Girl, Bella. You successfully found the letter. Your little journey does not end here, young lady. You need to forget all about this life you know. You are now part of the AbSenseMiND project. You will replace me. Bella, there is a man you must speak to. I know you are young. I know you want to live a normal life. However we can no longer do this. AbSenseMiND is a project that Intele have been working on to figure out how we work. We are going through all means necessary not to be discovered as we are unsure what the BWP will do. The information you know now, is nothing compared to what we have discovered. Be warned, you are at high risk.

Telekinurs, Manicronics, and Cellumancers all the same have something called "Stabilization Level". Telekinur levels stay high and they are highly stable. However, Cellumancers have lower levels and are completely unstable. Manicronic levels tend to go either way. Intele have better brains than Humans. But because of this, if an Intele's Stabilization Level drops too low, they will start to become less and less human. They begin to act out randomly like animals. Lash out. Become violent. And finally, go absolutely insane.

We have learned that the Insane Intele tend to attack people's heads. As if going for the brain. When Subject was submitted to a human, they immediately killed the Human by breaking their neck. In order to view what the crazed intele planned to do, we kept watching. The crazed intele had gone after the brain as we theorized. The intele bashed the Human's head against the floor until its skull cracked. The intele ate the brain. Next, the intele went to the chest. After viewing the disturbing display once more, the intele devoured the heart of the person. We sent in our scientists to find the intele had calmed. We ran a Stabilization Test and found out that the levels had risen after consuming the organs.

With this information we have established that we react to insanity in a zombiac manner. Be warned Bella. Though you are Telekinur, and have the highest Stabilization Levels, you never know when they may drop. Please be careful, Bella. You will not need these files after you have fully read the ones left on your page. You will need to destroy it all. I love you Bella. Be safe. The man's tag name is "Boss".

"What. The. Hell." I whispered to myself. "I could, go insane and-" I gagged at the thought. I decided to find that person "Boss". I wondered to myself if Leon was part of this. If he was, why was he so calm? Surely he knows. Maybe I'll discuss this with him tomorrow. I sifted through the seemingly endless amount of files after exiting my own. I was curious, so I clicked on "Withered Garden". "I can't be that bad right? Maybe it's just another person like me," I thought.

This page was light grey with black text and a bone like outline. Same black box. Except their page actually had something on it. Some text almost like a biography. "Weird," I said to myself.

"Huh, that's weird. I wonder what it all means," I thought to myself, "These names are people like me it seems. Rankings? Specializing? Status? Living?" It didn't make sense. I decided to check out "Symmetry Doll".

Finally I clicked "Eve's Ivy". I knew I was supposed to find boss, but it was all so tempting. I felt very disturbed however by what all this was. And how I had no idea what it all meant.

"Bloodline Puppeting? The Hell does that even mean?" I decided to give in and find the Boss file. All this is just too confusing. There were many other files that caught my attention before I found "Boss". "Alright," I clicked the file. There were all the names listed in alphabetical order. Damn that's a lot of names. I found "Nightshade Shadows" and clicked it.

Hello and Welcome, Nightshade. At anytime go to the address of your mentor. Your mentor will be Frostbite. Like you, she is a Telekinur. "Well, this whole damn thing seems like a threat. If this is so hidden, why the hell does some normal guy like Leon know about it?" At least I thought he did. I decided to check out this Frostbite before I bombard into their house. I left the "Boss" file and entered "Frostbite Holly" one. Might as well.

"Frosty is... Really weak. Jesus," I sighed. I looked at the time. 10:45pm. "I guess I'll go tomorrow." I took out the usb, remembering the words in the letter. I wiped my computer clean and dropped the usb into water. "But, just in case," I picked up the USB with my ability and flung it against the wall over and over. Once smashed, I relaxed my mind and readied for bed. "But, who is Anne Carol?"
