Smash Mouth! So many childhood memories! My dad used to have one of their CD's in his car and by the time he stop listening to them, I had that whole album memorized!

The band was formed in 1994 when Steve Harwell, who had formerly played in a tap group called Freedom Of Speech, along with his manager, Kevin Coleman, decided to form a rock band. Coleman knew bassist Paul De Lisle who had played in a local punk band, and introduced the two musicians to each other. They soon go more members and names their band Smash Mouth, a football term.

Did you know?:

•In 2001, Smash Mouth covered the Monkees' hit song "I'm a Believer". It was featured on the film Shrek.

•Smash Mouth was playing a set at the Taste of Fort Collins food festival in Colorado. People up didn't like the band at the time darted to throw the most abundant thing they could find...bread! Vocalist Steve Harwell claimed he had caught some bread in his hands and ate it and continued to walk. Way to show your confidence!!
