Tidal Wave. ~

The birds were singing, the water was roaring and the wind was blowing. I flutter my eyelids open to see my Johnny Depp poster on my ceiling. I shut my eyes again letting out a breath. 

"Averyyy! Time to wake uuuppp!" My mother sang from the kitchen downstairs. 

I groaned under my breath and sat up in bed looking around the room, still half asleep. I let out a sigh and swung my legs to the edge of the bed. Unplugging my phone, I look through my messages from the night before. Seeing nothing new, I stand up, only wearing some fluffy pajama bottoms and a purple tank top. I trudge down the stairs and walk into the kitchen. I smile tiredly at my cheerful light brown haired and blue eyed mom. Some say I look just like her. I did indeed have my mothers bright blue eyes, but I have my dad's dark brown hair. So with that, we didn't look much alike.

"Avery. Go pack your lunch and get dressed! Your hair is a mess!" She grumbled as she made me some breakfast.

"Yes mother." I growl, still moody from just waking up.

As I walk back up the stairs I feel my phone vibrate in my hand. I look at my phone to see that I had a message from my best friend Johanna. 

From: Johanna (;

"Hay! Wake up! Don't forget we have track today! xox.

I quickly type out a reply as I enter my room. But as I do I bump into my wall.

To: Johanna (;

"I'm up. I won't forgetn."

I groan as it sends with the extra 'n' in the message. As I look up, I walk into my closet looking for a decent shirt to wear to school. My closet isn't exactly organized. I have clothes strewn everywhere. My wardrobe is huge, but not in any order. I decided on a Black Veil Brides t-shirt with white skinny jeans and blue converse with gold studded spikes surrounding the whole outside of the shoe. I tie my hair up into a messy bun and slip some diamond studs onto my ears. Opening the door, I grab my backpack and head out for the day.

Grumbling, I walk to Algebra with my head down, my hair covering my face. I was majorly embarrassed once again.  Just before this, I had ran into Jacob Faughtner, whom was the most popular guy in school. He was known for being captain of the football team and being extremely gorgeous. His chocolate brown eyes and dark black hair charmed almost every girl in the school. But me? Being as clumsy as I am, had some how tripped over air and landed straight into his arms. Yep, my clumsiness didn't help me here. 

"Oh! Hey you alright?" He had said to me, helping me pick up my stuff.

"Uhm, yeah. I'm okay." I managed to stutter, feeling my face grow hot.

Luckily, I managed to get away before he could say anything else. The only up side about the situation was that he talked to me. Jacob Faughtner had talked to ME. The middle class, book worm, bad-ass, weird chick. I walked into the classroom and sat in my squeaky, worn-out desk. I pulled out my homework and my eyes widened as I let out a groan. Once again, I had forgotten to do my homework. Another detention.

"Everyone, get out your homework for me to collect." Mr. Pearson said in his turtle slow voice. It made me want to snore. 

"Hey, look, someone needs a nose job." I heard Jennifer Yeater sneer next to me. She was the head cheerleader. And of course, she always would say something nasty about the teachers. It made me want to throw up. But I didn't eat much. So I refused to. I just hoped this period was over soon.

"Avery! Wait up girly!!" I heard Johanna screech behind me. I chuckled as she ran up next to me with a giant smile plastered onto her face.

"What's up woman?" I said with a smile."

"TRAAACCKK PRACTICCCEE!! And the football team is watching." Her smile grew bigger as she bounced up and down. My eyes practically bulged out of my head.

"Whoa. Really?" I breathed. She nodded as she skipped away to the locker room.

"Boy this is going to be fun." I grumbled grabbing my bag out from my locker. Just as I closed my locker and started heading to the gym, I ran into a blue and purple uniform. The impact was so big I ended up on the floor. Looking up, I was just about to faint. Just my luck. It was Jacob.

"Oh hey there." He grinned.

I was doomed.
