I stretch out on the soft carpeted floor, letting out a muffled groan into my pillow. I open up my eyes to see the bright daylight and let out a louder groan. I look up to Johanna's bed to see her wide awake, scrolling through her iPod.
"Well, good morning to you too, Miss I-Don't-Want-To-Get-Up-Because-I-Stayed-Up-Too-Late." Johanna stated, in one breath. Sometimes I wonder how she does it. I can barely say 'I like chicken and potatoes' in one breath.
"Oh shut upppp. " I mumbled, shutting my eyes. I earned a slap on my face for the remark. That'll leave a red mark.
"Owww. Seriously bruh." I groaned in reply to her unfriendly gesture. She just smirked and continued to play what we both knew was Slender Man. I laid back down, shutting my eyes and covering my arms with the blanket. Johanna reached down, tugging the blanket upwards, my legs that we twisted into it, thumping onto the floor. I whined, covering my eyes with my hands.
"I don't wanna get uppppp." I rolled over onto my side, curling up into a small ball and keeping my eyes shut. I heard her get up from the bed and sit on my side, giving her full weight onto mine. Because it was unexpected, I jumped, and tried rolling out of the way.
"Nooooo! You can't make me!" I pouted, as I crawled toward her closet, shut the doors, and hid in there, trying to get some sleep. I heard her laugh, as she opened the doors to her closet. She started hitting me with a foam sword I didn't even know she had. I laughed along with her, covering my face with my arms.
"Stop stop! I'll get up!" I giggled, sitting up. She hit me without of the the sword one more time, before moving out of the way so I could get out from closet. I grabbed my phone that I left on the floor, unlocking it and looking at the amount of messages Jacob left.
From: <3
'Baby I'm sorry I don't know what came over me.'
From: <3
'Please answer.. I'm sorry.'
There were 10 more messages like that. I sighed, typing up a quick message in reply.
To: <3
'I'll stop by later.'
I shut off my phone, following Johanna down the stairs. I could smell eggs and bacon from the kitchen. I whimpered in delight. I love this house so much.
"Good morning girls." Johanna's mother greeted us. I smiled and sat down at the counter, being handed a plate full of eggs, toast and bacon. Johanna's plate was filled with toast, and some fruit, because she was a vegetarian. I started stuffing my face with the food, shutting my eyes at the goodness of it. Johanna kept looking over at me, a smirk forming on her features.
"Good, huh?" I nodded in reply, my mouth stuffed with food. Chappy came down the stairs, sniffing the air like a dog. I laugh, smiling at her.
"Well good morning." I placed her plate in front of her and she raised her arms like a goal post in the air.
"Score! Food!" She squealed, as she started shoving food into her mouth. Johanna started laughing and I joined in.
I turned my phone back on to find a text from my mom, saying she's going to pick me up in 10 minutes.
"Guys my mom is going to pick me up soon." I frown as I get up and put my dishes in the sink. I heard them both groan and follow me up the stairs.
"Do you have toooo? We might have done stuffff." Johanna whined as I packed my things. I rolled my eyes, smirking slightly.
"I'll be back soon. Plus we have school."
"I know, I know." She said, reaching for her iPod. I ran down the stairs, slipping on my sneakers, and opening the door just as my mom pulled in. I ran to her deep blue Ford Fiesta and tore the door open, taking my seat in the passenger side.
"Bye guys!" I shouted before I closed the car door.
I slid the seat belt over my chest, smiling over at my mom.
"Hey mom, can you drop me off at Jacobs? I'll get changed in the back." I said as I pointed to my fuzzy ducky pajamas and my v-neck shirt. She just chuckled and nodded as I unbuckled and crawled into the back of the car, tinting the windows.
I reached into my bag, pulling out a clean, Pierce The Veil t-shirt and slipping it over my head. I brushed my teeth with a bottle of water, and dragged a comb through my tangled hair. I pulled my hair into a ponytail and slipped on a pair of moccasins. I used the car mirror to run some eyeliner, climbing back to the front, just as my mom pulled up the driveway.
"Thanks mom! I'll call when I need to be picked up, unless he drops me off." I say as I kiss her cheek, grabbing my phone and climbing out of the car. I walked up the driveway, knocking on the front door. I heard a thumping come up to the door, and it opened, showing Jacob in sweats and a t-shirt.
"Hi. Ducky pajamas?" He smiled over at me. My cheeks flushed with embarrassment. I forgot to change my pants. Whoops. My nerves created knots in my stomach as he ushered me inside.
"Yeah..." I searched for words. He went up the stairs, stopping on the fifth stair, waiting for me to follow. I started up after him, sighing softly.

"So. I'm really sorry for what happened.. I didn't mean to drink that much. It just happened." Jacob mumbled, taking my hands in his. I nod, shutting my eyes, resisting saying anything I'll regret. I felt warm lips press against my own, but this time it was softer, much more gentle, than the last time. I kissed back gently, moving my lips along with his, wrapping my arms around his neck. I felt his lips removed from mine, receiving a soft whine from my lips. He pressed his forehead against mine, looking into my eyes.
"I love you Avery."
"I love you Jacob." I murmured, shutting my eyes. I felt a light kiss on each of my eyelids. I opened up my eyes and saw Jacob looking down at me.
"I regret what I did last night. I'll do anything for you to forgive me. Please don't leave me.." His voice trembled slightly at the end. I sighed and laid my head on his shoulder.
"I won't. I promise I won't leave you. Just.. don't ever do that again. It was frightening." I said, hiding my face in his broad shoulder. I felt his face bury into my hair.
"I promise I won't do it again. I'm so so sorry. I just drank because my parents have been fighting and there has been a lot of stress. I never meant to drink that much and harm you in any way." I smiled slightly and looked up at him.
"I know you didn't. It was just scary. Do you just want to relax and watch a movie?" He nodded his head and went over to his bookshelf.
"Mean Girls or The Notebook?" I chuckled at his choices, knowing that he picked them out just for me.
"Mean Girls. Duh." He put the movie in and snuggled up next to me, kissing my forehead.
"I love you so much. Thank you." I smiled and hid in his chest, eventually drifting off to sleep. It was the best sleep I've had in years.
