Exams were finally over but the stress was far from gone.The students were on edge. Wizards in black cloaks and silver masks had been seen in HogsMede.
"Do you think they'll come here?" Lily asked
"Nah." James replied "Dad's here. They're too scared."
At that moment, a large bang was heard outside the school.
"Please tell me we put a decoy detonator there." Teddy said
"Nope." James said, the color draining from his face
Another loud bang and the trio grabbed their wands and left the common room. Death eaters were in the hallways.
"Kids!" Harry yelled "Get back in the common room!"
The trio ducked under his arm and joined the fight. Shouts of "Expelliarmus!" mixed with "Crucio!" and "Imperio!" A death water aimed his wand at Harry and James disarmed him.
"Expelliarmus!" He yelled following it with "Petrificous Totalus!"
Harry bound the death eater and began working on the others. He'd stopped trying to get the kids back because he knew it wouldn't work.
With a final shout of "Petrificous Totalus!" from James, the small battle was over and Hogwarts was once again a safe school. One death eater was still conscious and was glaring at Harry and the trio.
"Let's hope the platinum trio will always be around to protect Hogwarts." He sneered
"Don't worry." The trio said "We will be."
"Off to the hospital wing you three!" McGonnagal yelled "Now!"
The trio willingly left with madam Pomfry and McGonnagal turned to Harry.
"I hope you plan on returning next year." She said
"Why?" Harry asked
"You have a good influence on the students." She answered "The world could use more James Potters, Lily Blacks and Teddy Lupins."
The headmistress walked away and Harry helped the aurors send the death eaters off to Azkaban.
