“Esme” I sung dancing down the stairs. I was in a surprisingly good mood after the events of the day so far. I keep getting whiplash though from Edward changing his mind about how he is going to explain things to everyone tonight. In my mind it was this simple;

If he hadn’t of saved Bella then her blood would have spilt, his eyes would now be crimson and she would defiantly be dead, along with a town of teenagers knowing that vampires exist.

Why oh why am I the only one that can see it that way, well Alice can too, but the others are mad at Edward for saving Bella.

“Yes Eva” Esme smiled at me, appearing at the bottom of the stairs as I reached them.

“how’d you feel if I said I’m not going back to school today” I grinned and took her hand to twirl around her. I was in too much of a good mood to go learn about things I was more qualified to teach than the teacher.

“you really should just go back” she told me as I twirled on the spot, playing some ballerina music in my head.

“please don't make me” I whined and got down on my knees to beg.

“please mummy, please” I begged looking up. She laughed a little and I read her mind. She was thinking about how I was a good century or so older than her.

“please mummy, we could spend time together” I pleaded and she pulled me up to my feet.

“you should go to school” she told me and I pulled my best puppy dog face.

“you don’t want to spend time with me” I looked down and then felt her hands cup my face.

“Evangelise, you should go to school, but how about we make brownies instead” she smiled at me and I nodded, removing all signs of imminent crying.

Baking with Esme is an unusual experience. She is so calm about everything and takes her time, much like Carlisle. Me, I just want the end result, which is why I hardly ever do any baking or cooking in general. Even when it was just Edward and I all those years ago, I made him cook for me. Well eventually he banished me from the kitchen as I screamed at the pans I was using for being so slow. When I am hungry for human food, I get just as bad as a vampire does for blood and I need it now, not in an hour’s time.

It sounds so cheesy but Esme’s food always has love put in it and I just think that makes everything taste better, especially when they are chocolate brownies. Right now I am jumping up and down in front of the oven, willing it to cook my treat faster. Esme is brilliant like that, I am being rewarded for not going back to school today. She is such a wonderful person, I love her, I love all my family, they don't understand me but they accept me. And now I am getting mushy, what’s wrong with me today.
