Mason's P.O.V
I was blowing up the air mattress for her. She sat in the corner next to my desk, just staring at the floor. "I know it doesn't seem like much but, the sheets are nice and it's actually pretty comfortable." I set down some sheets and a pillow on the bed. "I need to shower. I don't even have any clothes." She whispered. I walked over to my drawer and grabbed a Tshirt. "Here. You can sleep in this for the night. I'll find you something to wear to school tomorrow."Kat's P.O.V
I finally decided to stand up. "Thank you." I whispered. He looked down at the floor and whispered back "Your welcome." He handed me a towel and a wash cloth. "You can give me you clothes and I'll wash them for you while your in the shower. The bathroom is right through there." He said. He pointed at a doorway across the room. I nodded my head at him as I walked across the room and through the doorway. "You can just throw your clothes out the door, and I'll have them washed." He said. I nodded even though I knew he couldn't see me, and I started undressing.Mason's P.O.V
I stood by the doorway and waited for her to throw her clothes out through the door. I quietly walked towards the door and pressed my ear against it. I could hear her sniffling through the door. "Are you okay?" I asked softly. I could here her moving around in there. As I was trying to listen harder she pulled the door open. She looked at me with a confused look and walked past me. She was putting on her shoes and re-packing her book-bag. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have involved you in this. I can't stay here." She sniffled. I inched towards her and kneeled down next to her on the floor. "I didn't ask you to involve me in anything, it was my choice to go there with you. And it's not your fault that you were in that situation. You don't have to be sorry for anything." I placed my hand on her shoulder. I could tell I had startled her because she jumped and my hand slid off of her. She looked up at me, her eyes all puffy and red. When I started to look at her the same way she disconnected all eye contact with me, and went back to staring at the floor. "You know what, I'm gonna go and find you something to wear to school tomorrow. Why don't you go and take a shower and I'll get your clothes later." I got up and started walking towards the door. Even with my back towards her I could still see her get up. "Something black. I don't do colors." She said. I tuned around and grinned at hern as I was opening the door. As I was closing the door I could see her taking off her shirt. I didn't want to look, but I couldn't possibly ignore what was right in front of me. As she slipped off her shirt I saw what was underneath. Her back was covered in bruises and scratches, one bruise was so big it covered an entire section of her lower back. I closed the door as quietly as possible and walked away.Kat's P.O.V
The shower felt so good. It felt like I was in there forever. It was so clean I sat down and just let the water run over me. I couldn't figure out which was the shower and which was my eyes, all I knew is that there was water running all down my face. My knees were locked together against my chest. It must have been at least 30 minutes before I finally got up and out of the shower. I dried myself off and slipped into the Tshirt that was waiting for me on the sink counter. I pulled my hair up into a very messy bun and walked out of the room. I saw him sprawled out across the blow up mattress on the floor. His mouth was open wide and he was snoring probably louder than I do. I crawled into his bed and slipped under the covers. How did I get here? How did I end up in this boys house, running away from mine? I can't go back home, so where am I supposed to go once he kicks me out of here?
