Disabilities-Moe

This is actually kinda based on me because I have ADHD and I am Dyslexic.

Morgan Paige Brian was different then then the rest of her teammates. She was ADHD and dyslexic along with OCD, ADD and anything else like that. The only people that knew were her family, coaches, Kling, and a few of her UVA teammates. She kept it hidden well.

Until one day when her roommate and fellow midfielder Lauren Holiday came in and saw Morgan struggling to read her textbook. At first Lauren thought she couldn't see but she knew Moe didn't wear glasses of contacts so she walked over and she bent down and asked "Moe, look at me." Morgan looked at her and asked "What's up?" "Are you okay? You look like you are struggling to read right now." Moe replied "I can't read it." "Why not?" She was kinda guessing why though. Moe replied "I'm dyslexic and ADHD plus ADD and all the others also." "Wait, what?!" Moe nodded starting to tear up "Yeah. It sucks." Morgan started crying so Lauren picked her up and laid her down and laid with her. She rubbed her back was able to calm her down and ask quietly "Why didn't you say anything? Who else knows, sweetie?" "i didn't say anything because I didn't want to be treated differently. and only my family, coaches, Kling and some UVA teammates know and Kling found out by accident when we were out for dinner and I struggled for a little while." Lauren soothed her and was able to hold her until Morgan said "I need to finish this homework and send it in." "Let me help. Go grab your stuff and we will sit here and work together." Morgan got up and grabbed her stuff and sat next to Lauren and they start working and they were fine until Morgan started struggling and getting frustrated so Lauren calmed her down and read it out loud for her. Morgan started crying and Lauren held her and let cry it out. Finally, after about an hour, they got finished and Moe apologized saying "I'm sorry for taking up your time today." "It's fine. I'm glad to help, kiddo. Now, let's go to dinner." "Okay." They got off and Moe was going to put her stuff away later on. But once they got into the elevator and it was just them Moe lost all control and couldn't stand still she was hitting her foot on the wall and messing with her phone and doing stuff just to keep moving and Lauren realized she didn't even know she was doing it. So she nudged her and said "You okay?" "Yeah. Just my ADHD acting up. Then also my ADD." Moe then stepped off the elevator with Lauren and calmed down as they walked.

Location Change: Restaurant

The team was eating at a restaurant and was given a menu and Lauren and Kling were on either side of Morgan and Kling discreetly whispered " Moe if you need help let me know we can just get the same thing if you want to." " no I want to try to do this." Moe whispered back. Then she glanced at it and whispered to Kling " I actually do need your help and by the way Lauren knows ." Kling nodded and they stopped whispering until Lauren whispered " you would probably like the same thing I'm getting...the Sirloin steak 8oz medium like you like it." " yeah I'm probably going to get that." She whispered back. Then the waiter came and went around and the trio told him theirs.

While waiting they were all just talking and having a good time so Kling noticed Morgan's bouncing knees and gently tapped her and then it was time to eat finally and after everyone finished they paid and then headed back to hotel. ( don't worry I'm going somewhere with this.)

Location Change: Conference Room

The team walked into the conference room and they saw the chairs were in a circle. Hope started backing away but Carli and Abby were able to get her to sit down. Morgan started bouncing her knee like crazy and Kling and Lauren calmed her down and Kling suddenly pulled something out of her pocket and handed it to Moe who started playing with it to calm down. Lauren looked at Kling confused  and Meghan whispered " it's just a thing I found and Moe plays with it a lot so I always have it with me." Lauren nodded.

Then Jill began by saying " ladies lets get started on team bonding. You will be telling something that nobody else knows about you." She then was handed a hat and said " these all have your names on them and we will choose and I will choose first and whoever goes next chooses the next one and so on and so forth." Moe gulped and started messing around with her thing again and suddenly heard " Moe your up first kid." She looked up and Kling nudged her and motioned for her to tell them " um well...here goes nothing.. My secret is that I have ADHD, I am dyslexic along with ADD and anything else like that." The team was in shock and they honestly didn't know until Becky and Cap said " I knew it." They looked at them and Cap said " I realized that you were struggling at dinner and Becky realized when you were doing homework one day." Becky continued " then your knees are giving them away and you never sit still for long and you blurt out stuff randomly." Moe blushed and looked down but Lauren said " no need to hide Morgan it's okay baby girl." Moe nodded and glance up.

Soon they finished and learned more about each other.

Time skip: Day off

Moe was in her room attempting homework when a knock sounded and she got up and answered it seeing Becky and Cap standing there so she let them in and they sat down and Christie told her " we want to help you." Becky then opened up her backpack that Morgan didn't even notice her carrying. She then took out a folder and a pen and told her " we are going to ask you some questions Morgan."

They started asking questions like for her to read out loud and spell certain words. She struggled and Becky jotted it down while Christie helped her.

They ended up being able to help her with her dyslexic and her ADHD.

ADHD-
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common childhood disorders and can continue through adolescence and adulthood. Symptoms include difficulty staying focused and paying attention, difficulty controlling behavior, and hyperactivity (over-activity).

ADD-  a condition usually in children marked by inattentiveness, dreariness and passivity.

Dyslexia- a general term for disorders that involve difficulty in learning to read or interpret words, letters, and other symbols, but that do not affect general intelligence.
