Hidden Sickness: Mal and Christen

Mallory Pugh a 18 year old superstar woke up feeling like shit. She didn't want Christen aka her mama to make her stay back from practice so she hid it and made sure her voice sounded normal. She got on the bus and promptly fell asleep during the bus ride on the Window until her friend Lindsey Horan woke her up and told her they were at practice.

She felt so sick during practice and finally she couldn't take it anymore and collapsed face first onto the ground.

Christen saw this and ran over to Mallory and turned her over and noticed how sweaty she was and Dawn rushed over and bent down and asked " Mal can you hear me Mal!" Mal opened her eyes and said " Mama, Dawn?" Christen replied "it's us kiddo don't worry." Mallory replied "Mama I don't feel well." She was whining and so Christen held her and sat her on the bench. They took her temperature and placed a cool rag on her head and had her drink water. Christen held her and soothed the 18 year old sick girl. She wasn't feeling well at all. The team hadn't been around Mal enough to see her get sick so they didn't know how sick she usually got. Mal hated being sick so she hid it as best as she could. Mal coughed weakly and soon Christen was consoling her and carrying her to a van and she was being taken to the hotel but she doesn't want to corporate and she wanted Christen. So they got her from practice and her mama took care of her.

Mal coughed badly and felt sick to her stomach so she told her Mama " mama I'm going to be sick I think!" Christen grabbed a bag and Mal threw up weakly. Christen rubbed her back and soon Mal stopped but was sweating badly. She was sweaty from practice and she felt so sick. Christen knew her daughter was sick she could tell that morning but she didn't want to say anything worrying thinking it was her own thoughts nothing more. Her wife Julie (no PREATH) told her to let Mal tell her if she was sick.

Mal coughed weakly and was taken into the hotel then and given medicine after she was cooler down and she went to bed.

Christen was worried but she knew that her daughter was asleep so she showered and got into shorts and a Stanford soccer t-shirt. She had just put on her shirt when Mal woke up and asked "Mama.." Press walked over and asked the other forward "yeah Mal I'm here what's wrong?" Mal replied "nothing but can I take a bath or something I feel gross in my training gear?" Christen texted the trainers and was told that she could either have Mal take a bath or hold her up in the shower if she felt weak still. So she asked Mal about it and the 18 year old told her "Shower is fine I think I'll be okay mama." So after helping Mal into the shower she got her out a clean sports bra and underwear and a UCLA shirt and shorts and placed them on the counter. She went and saw a text from her wife on her phone so she texted her back about how Mal was. The teen came out and asked if christen could braid her hair. So after it was blow dried the Stanford grad braided the UCLA committed player's hair.

The girl ended up falling asleep during it so christen finished it and laid Mal under the covers and got her settled before kissing her head and telling her "I love you my strong baby girl." Kissing her head again and going to her own bed to rest and relax for a minute. So she did a couple minutes of mediation before her wife entered and kissed her gently asking "how is she?" Press told her "better." Julie smiled and told her "that's good." Press retaliated with "I told you she was sick." JJ rolled her eyes and said "yeah yeah sure now we have the afternoon and tomorrow off because of the heat coming in so I'm gonna shower and I want cuddles after I come back here babe." Christen nodded her head and laid down and waited for her wife.

Julie came back and said "my roommate was passed out asleep." Christen asked "who's your roommate?" Julie replied "Alyssa the goalkeepers had to work even more then usual and in long sleeves no tanks because of the diving and Ash and Hope came in and wrapped her shoulder/collarbone area and her knee for her in ice and then left." Christen nodded and they cuddled in bed until Mal woke up and said she was hungry. That was good that means she's getting better so since it was lunch they went down with JJ carrying the 18 year old and setting her in a chair and they got their food and Mallory's food for her.

Mal was better the next day but the coaches didn't let her play in the game against Japan so they tweeted that she was sick.
