Alex Morgan was looking around the locker room and noticed her "little sister" Mallory Pugh the 18 year old phenomenon missing and she walked over to Hope and asked "Where's Mal?" Hope looked up from tying her shoes and replied "not sure might want to ask Chris or JJ her moms " Alex nodded and thanked Hope and asked them and they hadn't seen her so she walked out of the locker room in search of Mal Pugh and finally found her leaning against a wall head between her legs.
Alex ran over and held her and said "Mally what's wrong kiddo it's sissy, it's Alex" Mal looked up and said "Lexi I'm scared" alex questioned her "why Mallory what's wrong?" Mal replied "first Olympic start what if I screw up" Alex sighed and replied "I wondered when this was going to happen." Mal looked at her confused so Alex lifted the 18 year old into her lap and said "sweetie this is how everyone is for this first game I mean Cheney who happens to now be an assistant coach for the team calmed Moe down when she had a nightmare kiddo. So now it's your turn to be calmed down. Now listen to me kiddo" she brushed a strand of hair away from Mal's face and said "Mallory everyone is nervous for the first game even Hope cause of the Hate she is getting..so you have nothing to worry about sweetie." Mal nodded and laid her head on Alex's chest and breathed in the older forwards perfume she was wearing. Alex rubbed Mal's back and rocked her some more and soon Mal was calm but Alex still wanted to carry her back so she carried her in and her adoptive mothers of 3 years now ran to her and asked "what happened are you okay Mallory?" And Christen sternly said "never ever do that again Mallory especially since bad people might be out there out to get this team." Mal nodded against Alex's chest and Alex sat her down and Allie said to her "you gave us a scare kid now let's play this game against New Zealand." Mal nodded and got finished and they walked out with the New Zealand National Team.
Game time
The game was going fair yes there were some bad calls and some things not called by the refs (who happened to be stupid throughout the whole Olympics) but they were up 1-0 on a Carli goal and a Tobin assist.
Suddenly Mal went down and Alex ran over quickly to her little sister and asked "Mal what happened?" Mal replied "I just got a bad knock that's all Lexi I'll be fine." Alex nodded and stayed near her along with having Carli there and a trainer came over and they took her out later on in the game.
Finally at the end of the 90 minutes the game was called and a 2-0 victory for the USA. They were doing great.
Alex went straight to Mal and asked "you sure you are okay?" Mal nodded and motioned to the ice. Alex sighed knowing Mal would tell her if something is up.
Alex was like her big sister and Mal didn't want to hide how bad she felt from her injury so she hid it and her roommate KO saw her pain as she laid in bed and went over and elevated her ankle and said "you sure you are okay kiddo?" Mal nodded and dozed of.
JJ and Christen came in and had Alex with them and they checked on Mal and noticed Kelley already asleep also. So they fixed kelley's blankets and fixed Mal's before leaving. Alex stayed and checked on her best friend and her sister one last time.
