Wild At Heart

Chapter 9

The next afternoon i ran to my room after classes and grabbed my guitar and lyric book.

"why are you so happy for?" Emily asked

"oh nothing!" i said and skipped off out of the room and down to the pond and sat down under the shade of the big oak tree where Josh asked me to meet him.

A  few moments later Josh joined me with his guitar in hand and sat across from me

"hey Hayles" he said

"oh hey!" i said

'Ok lets get started!" he said and we flipped though my lyric book and picked out a few songs to play, Josh wanted to play the songs i wrote at the school dance, i didnt want to but he insisted.

Saturday night rolled around quickly and i was in my room with the girls getting ready to make out way to the dance, none of the girl knew i was performing with Josh so it was going to be a suprise to them, to the school and well Jenna too.

I pulled on a New Found Glory shirt i brought in town last weekend and pulled on a big shirt that goes outwards and not straight down, it was black and white and i think i did a good job at making it myself with the other bits of clothing i brought at the thrift shop.

i slipped on my favorite black heels that i have been wearing since i got to this place and then pulled my bright red hair up into a pony tail letting a few stray hairs pull into my face and curled them a little, i walked over to the mirror and put red lipstick on, black eyeliner and masscara and quickly applied some foundation on my face.

Once i was done i walked over and sat on my bed waiting for the girls to finish up, Josh already has a guitars down stairs for us both to use so i was set.

"wow Hayley you look amazing!" Cassidy said

"as do you too!' i replied

"ok lets go girls!" Emily shouted and giggled

We followed behind her and made our way to the school hall.

Once we walked in there was a table with a bowl of punch to the back of the hall, a stage up the front with a dj playing music, all the girls in the school were in here dancing around with the boys that came over from the boys only boarding school on the other side of town.

A moment later the music was changed to some crappy classical stuff and the big doors opened showing Jenna walking in like she the queen or something in a big dress that made her look like she was from the 1800's everyone looked at her and whispered to each other

"what the hell is she wearing?" Kate mummbled to us

'i dont know but its pretty ugly" i said and then stopped Jenna walking up to Josh, i walked up closer to them

"Mr Farro what a pleasure it is to see you here" she said in some fake bittish accent 

"um what are you doing Jenna" Josh said

"you may only call me Mrs Rice unless you care to take this dance with me" she said

"umm ok..." Josh said giving her a weird look

"Joshie its me Jenna" she said

"um i know that Jenna" he said not looking intrested in her at all

time for me to walk over i thought to myself and so i did

"hey Josh" i said

"hey Hayles, you look great tonight!" he said while Jenna was still standing there

"what are you doing? this isnt a slut party" Jenna said

"well hun this isn't the 1800's" i said with a smirk

"oh my favorite song is on come dance!" i said and grabbed Josh's hand and pulled him to the dance floor.

Me and Josh were dancing together, this felt right,  we were holding hands and Josh slowly leaned his head closer to mine and i was staring right at his beautiful brown eyes but then of course Jenna had to runie the moment by changing the song to something more pop rock, i smirked and let go of Josh's hands and started dancing faster to the song just to piss Jenna off more considering i was in the middle of the room and everyone opened up a space and circled around me watching. 

I was having so much fun, Jenna stormed off out of the room.

As i was walking off the dance floor, i tripped and fell to the floor laughing and Josh ran over to me

"are you ok Hayley?" he asked with worry on his face

'Im fine, im fine" i said still laughing and then Jenna walked over

"shes acting like shes drunk someone should take her to bed" Jenna said 

"Josh can do the honours then" i said with a smile

"i think she just needs some air" Josh said helping me up and walking me out to the hallway and sitting with me.

"ok explain yourself Miss Williams" Josh said

"im affriad i cant Mr Farro" i said with a smile

I leaned in and tried to kiss Josh but he pulled away quickly before i could get near him and so i tried again but he pulled away again

"settle down now Hayles" he said with a laugh

"ok are you gay?" i came straight out to him

"no im not" he said laughing

"what made you think that" he said

"ohhh i dont know" i said

"look im going away to the boys school for a couple of day and i'll be back and we can go on a date" he said

"ok,sounds good to me" i said

"under one condition... no more silly behavour!" he said

"deal" i said and just leaned in and i did too ready to kiss his soft lips up AGAIN someone had to runie the moment... Jenna's two firends 'the side kicks' as i would like to call them

"oh you guys" Josh said annoyed

"physical contact with girls is not allowed Josh Farro" one of the girls said and walked back away to tell Jenna what they saw.

"ok well lets get back in there and perform!" he said and with that we both got up and walked back into the hall.
