Chapter 10

Me and Josh were now up on the stage sitting on stools ready to start our performance, i was nervous, i mean this was my first time singing infront of this many people and everyone was already wondering what i was up to, i looked over to josh and he passed me a guitar and put the mic stand infront of me and then he nodded and we started to play

"Let 'em have their time

Sit back and let 'em shine

We finished the song and everyone started clapping and cheering at us while the girls in my room stood up the back with there jaws to the floor in amazement and shock, i turned back to Josh who was smiling and we started into another song.

''Im in the business of misery,

She's got a body like an hourglass, it's ticking like a clock.

It's a matter of time before we all run out,

When I thought he was mine she caught him by the mouth.

I waited eight long months,

She finally set him free.

I told him I couldn't lie he was the only one for me.

Two weeks we caught on fire,

After that song i stood up with Josh and hugged him on stage and we walked off taking the guitars with us

"you were amazing Hayles!" he said

"you were too!" i said 

"here let me take the guitar and you go back in there and have fun" he said reaching for the guitar

"ok thanks" i said and hugged him again and headed back over to the girls.

Once i got to the girls they all crushed me with hugs

"hayley you never told us you could sing!" Emily said

"yeah i dont really like telling people that" i said 

"you were amazing" Cassidy said.

The night started to come to an end, people were sitting on chair talking and couples making out in the corners and you know how parties go, someone always spikes the punch with vodka so yes there was some people were pretty drunk including cassidy who was sitting on some boys lap making out with him, lucky for her none of the teachers were there now otherwise she would of been in trouble.

I told the girls what happened in the hallway with Josh and Jenna's 'side kicks' finding us.

"so what are you going to do Hayley?" Emily said

"well it all depends on if her side kicks go and tell her what they saw" i said and we all looked over to where they were talking with Jenna

"i dont think they told her" Kate said as she looked at them

"Isn't it funny how my ticket out of this hell hole maybe one of the reason i want to say" i said speaking up looking at the girls

"wow i think the ice queen is melting" Emily teased with a smile on her face handing me a drink.

The next morning we had a stuiped hockey competition that we all had to participate in.

we sat on a bench in the change rooms, all complaining of a hangover. Emily, Cassidy and myself were the last ones in there stairing at the ground holding our heads until we heard the should of high heels shoes clunking on the ground towards us, Cassidy looked up and stood up and we did the same. Mrs Farro was standing right in front of us

"you girls might want to explain yourselves....Emily?" she said in a serious tone.

"im sorry we just got a bit carried away..." Emily said

"well by sounds of it Cassidy got TOTALLY carried away with two boys and then layed in her own vomit" Mrs Farro said looking at her

"actually it was Emily's vomit....Miss i was just laying in it..." Cassidy spoke up 

"i expected better from you two" she said getting angry

"and as for you Hayley i don't know if i should be pleased that you finally made some friends here or furious that you lead them astray..... Dismissed" Mrs Farro said looking down at her clip board

"Not you Miss Williams" Mrs Farro said looking back up at her

"i gave your father my word i would try and help you but your making it difficult, your clever and better then this Hayley, give yourself a chance and try at something. Judging from what you did last night, when you put your mind to something it turns out wonderful. Dont give up on yourself, cause i haven't yet. Now off your go!" Mrs Farro said  and i walked out and didnt say a word.

"what did she want?" Emily asked as i walked out the door

"oh nothing" i said
