Blackmail

Chapter 2

Troye's POV

"Con what are you doing in there?" I asked giggling to myself. Connor had gone into the changing room to try on a few things what seemed like hours ago. He had already said no to basically everything he had tried on, even though I thought he looked amazing regardless to what he was wearing.
"Hold on!" He replied. "You have no idea how hard it is to do up all of these buttons! There's like, one million!" He explained. I laughed to myself and sat back in my chair. He always took ages to get ready. Whenever we went out he would always take ages to get ready, but it was obviously worth it because he looked amazing 100% of the time. The curtain pulled back to reveal Connor wearing the blue shirt from earlier. And, as I predicted, it looked amazing on him. It somehow made his eyes look greener and the colour was just right for his skin tone. The black jeans he was wearing went perfectly with it and just made him look so un-believably amazing.
"So what do you think?" He asked. I quickly nodded my head.
"It looks great Con. Seriously that's the one." I said, honestly.
"Really? Yay!" He said "Okay let me get changed and we can go." He smiled before walking back into the changing room and sliding the curtain across.

I checked my appearance in the mirror again, straightening my shirt and jeans and eventually giving up on getting my hair perfect, before walking out of my bedroom and into the hallway. As I walked down the hallway I began thinking about Connor again, maybe I should tell him that I love him, get it over with. No, no way, that's a bad idea, I would ruin everything. So, pushing that thought out of my mind, I walked to Connor's room and knocked lightly on the door.
"Come in!" I heard him shout. I opened the door and stepped inside. He was still stood at the mirror doing his hair, as he was when I left his room to get ready half an hour ago. I chuckled quietly and walked over to the bed and sat down.
"You okay?" I ask getting my phone out of my pocket and checking the time.
"Yep." He said finishing his hair and turning away from the mirror. "How do I look?" He asked. I smiled at him, you look amazing, was what I wanted to say, but that would have made it weird. So I said the next best thing.
"Fantastic! Or I could say you look..... Frantastic." I giggled. He rolled his eyes and fake laughed.
"Oh you're hilarious!" He said sarcastically. I shrugged and continued to laugh. He just rolled his eyes and grabbed his keys from his bed-side table, pulling me out of his room. After locking up the house we got in the car and drove to the party. It wasn't anything fancy, just a cute little restaurant about a thirty minute drive from the apartment we were staying in for the time we were in England. We hopped out of the car and hurriedly walked in, it was a very cold night, I wished I had brought a coat now. But as soon as we got in, the warmth of the log fire burning in the corner of the small-ish restaurant soon warmed me right up, it was a very nice place, it had a very, homely feel.
"Hi guys!" Zoe said walking over and hugging us.
"Hey!" We greeted, hugging her back. She pulled away, a huge smile on her face as she looked over at Connor.
"Connor you look amazing! Where's that shirt from?" She asked excitedly. He looked over at me and giggle, I winked and mouthed "told you." After we greeted everyone and gave Joe his birthday card that contained £20, as no one had any clue what to actually buy him, we took our seats next to a window. That's when I started to think, I had noticed throughout the day that Connor hadn't been himself. I was worried about him to be honest. But i'm sure if there was anything wrong he would tell me, right? I looked over at him, he was looking around the room, almost purposely avoiding looking directly at me. What's up with him? I was going to find out.
"Connor? I need to talk to you." I began. He looked at me confused, almost as if he was about to say exactly the same thing. He nodded as I got up and walked to the restrooms. Something was going on, and I was going to find out what.
