I didn't pay any attention to the road in front of me. I knew I was way above the speed limit, not that I cared, I needed to get to Tyler now. The lights flashed pasted the window, looking down I realised I was doing 82 mph, oops. I tried ignored my phone vibrating and ringing every two seconds. Looking across I saw I had 6 missed calls and 10 texts, all from Connor. I felt so guilty, he must be so worried. So, pulling into a garage I unlocked my phone and called him. I knew I was about to get shouted at, a lot. It didn't ring three times before he picked up, of course he would be waiting for me to call.
"TROYE! WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU, I'VE BEEN WORRIED SICK!" His voice came over the phone.
"Con, Con calm down, I'm fine!" I assured.
"WHERE ARE YOU!?" He asked, I could here the concern in his voice, it made me feel so much more guilty.
"I'm going to see Tyler." I answered, honestly. He didn't answer. "Connor?" I asked.
"I'm coming to get you." He said blankly.
"No you're not."
"Yes I am."
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"Troye I have siblings I could do this all day." He reasoned.
"So do I, but you're not coming to get me." I came back. He didn't respond again.
"Too late." I looked up and saw him standing in front of the car. Shaking my heading, I got out and practically ran to him.
"WHAT WERE YOU THINKING TROYE!?" He shouted, tears already in his eyes.
"He was hurting you, I was only going to stand up for you." I took his hands, but he pulled away from me.
"At the moment, you're hurting me more than Tyler is." He said, his voice breaking half way through the sentence.
"What?" I asked, confused. I wanted to protect him, not hurt him.
"You're hurting me more by saying these things. It destroys me to know I'm the one making all of this happen." A tear rolled down his cheek and he immediately wiped it away. I took his hands in mine again, this time he didn't pull away.
"I-I'm sorry Connor. I didn't realise. I just hate the fact he's doing this to us, to you." I stroked the palms of his hands with my thumbs, trying anything to comfort him.
"Please don't apologise." He almost whispered. I pulled him into me and wrapped my arms around him. He relaxed into my arms and I closed my eyes.
"Come on, lets go home, i'll come get the other car tomorrow." I said, gently pulling away.
"Okay." He smiled, walking around to the other side of the car.
