Chapter 8

I was sitting in my mom and dads car, no one was driving it was just a painful silence. I was ready for my parents to scream at me and punish me for the rest of my life.
"We told you to stay away from him selena" my mom said calmly but with frustration.
"I know" was all I said because I just can't stay away from him
"You are not to go near him again selena, your father will be taking you to school and picking you up after, you will not leave the house without one of us, and we are taking your phone away for a week" she said with no emotion
"MOM!! That's not fair!!" I screamed "he's not even my boyfriend!!"
"That's not the point selena! He's a bad person and he is not someone we want you around!"
"Mom just one chance, let him have dinner with us for one night and if you still don't like him I won't speak to him" I know it was really risky of me to say this but i honestly believe that they will like Justin, they just don't know him.
"Absolutely not. I will not allow him in our house"
"Please mom" I begged
"Selena he's-" before my mom could finish, my awfully quiet dad spoke up
"Mandy," my mom looked at my dad "one night" was all he said.
My mom sat in silent
"Please mom"
"For goodness sake fine then" "tonight, and if we don't like him, you are to never speak to him again"

I met up with Justin an hour later to tell him that he was coming for dinner
"IM WHAT?!" I smiled innocently at him
"Please? It's one night and if you don't come we can't be friends"
"But selena-"
"Please Justin" he took a second to think before he smiled at me
"Fine" I smiled "but you owe me" I laughed
"Whatever" he chuckled

Once we got to my house we just stood outside. I was sure nervous and I think Justin was too. We walked In to my mom and dad making dinner, not one of them looking at either of us. I cleared my throat hoping to get their attention.
"Would you mind setting the table selena" my mom asked I was about to pull Justin into the dining room
"Not you Justin" my mom said I looked at Justin
"I will only be a minute" I told him and left.

JUSTIN POV
Thanks selena I thought to myself. I cleared my throat feeling extremely uncomfortable
"You are to stay away from her Justin" Selenas mom said
"I don't want anything but a friendship Mrs Gomez"
"Justin I know boys like you, selena has been skipping lessons and getting into a lot more trouble because of you, she won't stay away. So you will. Justin if you don't stay away, I will hurt you. Stop seeing her and after this night if she tries talking to you at school ignore her and walk away. We just want what's best for her, if you cared for her even just as a friend you will leave her alone" Selenas dad replied, it was the first he'd spoke since I had arrived and let's just say, it wasn't the greatest greeting in the world. Before I could say anything selena walked back in.

SELENA POV
We all sat around the dinner table and the tension was extremely uncomfortable. I tried making conversation but it was obvious my parents were just counting down the minutes until Justin left.

Later on...
I just burst into tears the minute Justin left. My parents didn't even try, they were just ignoring us or giving us one word answers. Justin probably doesn't even want to be friends with me anymore and I was starting to kinda like him. Not majorly just a little crush whatever.

So this is probably the shortest and worst chapter in the world and I'm so extremely sorry!! So much has been happening in my life right now and I haven't been able to update but I will try harder. I'm so sorry just know that I swear I'm going to put all my effort into updating more❤️
