I hope you didn't get confused there but I just told you an entire flashback of my life. Well the part of my life that you needed to know in order to understand my current situation.
So let me sum everything up for you. It's been 5 years since I graduated high school and 4 years since I lost Lily. I was in college when all of that Lily stuff happened and I continued through it. It actually helped me get through her death. I am currently a journalist at the local news station and it's awesome.
So that's everything that has happened to me in the past 4 years. Well the stuff you need to know.
"Hi. I'm Kaitlyn Graham. The new intern. I was wondering if you could help me find Jayden Alexander." Said Kaitlyn. Wow! She's beautiful.
"Uh yes. She is just down the hall and the last door to the left. I'm Dominic Wood but everyone calls me Dom. If you have any questions or need help with anything just give me a call." I said shaking her hand and smiling.
"Thank you Dom. I do have one question. What's is that your looking at. It looks like an old case file." She said a little concerned.
"That's because it is." I said picking it up.
"Whose is it?" She asked.
"It was an old friends case. It's not important." I said putting it away in the desk drawer.
"Ok." She said turning to go to Jayden's office.
She was beautiful. She has long brown hair, beautiful green eyes, and the cutest smile. I honestly feel like I'm falling I love again.
After about an hour she finally came out and sat I the desk right across from me.
"So I assume you'll be working here?" I asked hoping she would say yes.
"I think so but we're just going to take it day by day and see how it goes." She said smiling.
"That actually sounds like a pretty smart plan. So are you from around here?" I asked to keep the conversation going.
"No I actually just moved here." She said. Once I asked she began to hold her necklace that she was wearing.
"Oh really. Where from?" I asked.
"Ohio." She said still holding her necklace.
"So what brings you to California. Or more specifically Los Angeles?" I asked trying to slowly get off the topic but still get to know her.
"I just needed a fresh start." She said finally letting go of the necklace. When she finally did I saw what it was. It was the letter "P".
"I like your necklace. What does the "P" stand for?" I asked.
"It stand for Piper. My baby sister. She was killed in a car crash." She said getting all teary eyed.
"Oh I'm sorry to hear that." I said.
"Don't be. It happened over 8 years ago. So beacause I'm knew around here what do you say you show me around later?" She asked smiling and clearly changing the topic.
"I would love to. How about right now?" I asked.
"But we have to work." She said a little confused.
"Yes." I said getting up.
"Then how...." She started.
"Follow my lead." I said grabbing her arm and heading to Jayden's office.
I knocked on the door until I heard "come in."
"Hello." I said as we entered her office.
"Hello Dominic. Can I help you two with something?" She asked.
"Yes. Is it okay if I show Miss Graham around. I figured since she was knew it might help her to know the area a little better especially of she has to follow up on a lead." I said hoping that I had just convinced her to let us go.
"I guess your right. Oh why not I mean it is Friday. Only on one condition though." She said.
"What is it?" I asked hoping it wasn't going to be something awful.
"If both of you leave you each will have to have a brand new story to me by Monday that would be perfect for the news." She said starring at us.
"Deal. Thank you!" I said as we were leaving the office.
"See that wasn't that bad." I said to her once we left the office.
"I guess not." She said as we were leaving the building.
