When homecoming came around I finally got up the courage to ask her. It took me a bit of time to think of a way to ask her, but I finally knew exactly how. She played soccer and so I wrote "How 'bout we kick it at homecoming?" on a poster and stood by the gate. That way when she came off the field she would see it. And you'll never believe what she had said!!! YES!!!!!
As soon as she said yes I gave her a big hug and we watched the next game together. It was pretty fun!
When homecoming finally came around I bought the tickets and she got the most beautiful dress. After about 2 hours I finally found a tie in my uncles closet. When I got to her house she was already taking pictures. I stopped in my tracks. She looked beautiful.
"You look amazing!!" I said giving her a hug.
"Thank you. And so do you!" She said smiling.
"Okay you two love birds get together so we can take pictures." My mom said getting her camera out.
We got our pictures and finally arrived at the dance. It was pretty boring except for the fact that we slow danced together for every slow song.
When the dance finally started to come to an end I knew I had to ask he that big question. "Hey Lily can I talk to you for a second?"
"Yes. What is it? Is everything okay?" She asked.
"Everything is fine. I just have a question I've been wanting to ask you for a while." I said nervously.
"What is it?" She asked.
"Will you go out with me?" I asked.
"I would love to." She said with a smile.
I hugged her and by that time the dance was over and we had to leave.
"I'll call you later." I said leaving the dance.
After that she and I began to date. We dated all through high school an people would come up to us and say that they wanted to be us. It was weird at first but after a while we started to not care.
After we had graduated high school I wasn't sure how I was going to ask her. Or if she would even say yes. It was a question that had been running through my mind ever since senior year.
After I finally thought of the perfect way I knew that I needed help with it. So I got all of her close friends and family along with my friends and my mom and together we came up with the perfect plan.
I took her to dinner the night of our 5 year anniversary. She wore this amazing red dress. We were the only people in the restaurant and the waiters were in on the whole plan. After dinner I took her to the park where everyone was waiting and where we had first met. My mom and friends did an amazing job. When we arrived she had begun to cry because of how beautiful it looked. We got to the exact spot where we had met and I knelt down on one knee and I asked her that big question.
"Lillian Annalise Green, will you marry me?" I asked pulling out the ring.
"Yes." She said crying.
