The weekend passed and we thought everything was going to be fine at work but we were wrong. Jayden apparently has a "No Dating Co-Workers Policy" that no one has ever heard of. But then again no one has dated their co-worker.

The weirdest part about it was that neither one of us told Jayden. She just knew.

"Hey Dominic and Kaitlyn can I see you in my office for a minute." She said walking up to our desks.

We walked into her office and she sat there staring at us as we came in. 

"Is something wrong?" I asked.

"Yes as a matter of fact there is." She said glaring at us. I felt like she had just looked into my soul and saw all of my darkest secrets and fears.

"What's wrong?" Kaitlyn asked quietly and in a scared like tone.

"A friend had just informed me that you two have a little thing for each other." She said without breaking eye contact.

"Who told you?" I asked as I moved closer to her desk to sit down in a nearby chair.

"That's not important but what is is that I don't want you two to be all lovey dovey when you're supposed to be working." She said standing up an moving closer to us.

"I can promise you that we won't be doing anything like that ma'am." I said.

"I know but to make sure that nothing will happen I have decided to separate the two of you. Dominic your getting a promotion and a new office. Follow me if you would like to see it." She said exiting the room.

"Well this isn't good." I said following her and grabbing Kaitlyn's hand.

"I'm proud of you." She said whispering so that Jayden wouldn't hear.

"I'm not. I won't get to see you very much." I said back.

"We'll figure it out." She said with her beautiful smile.

"Here we are." Jayden said opening the door.

"Wow!! This is so cool." I said letting go of her hand and entering the room.

"I thought you would like it. Oh and Kaitlyn I have a friend who works over at Quinn who would like to interview you for a job opportunity." She said handing Kaitlyn an envelope.

"You got me an interview at Quinn!" She said taking the envelope.

"Quinn, as in the big magazine company Quinn?" I asked to confirm my thoughts.

"That's the one." Kaitlyn said jumping in the air.

Jayden left the room and Kaitlyn and I began to talk about what just happened.

"So you're going to be working at Quinn?" I asked.

"Not if it makes you mad and I can't see you." She said putting her hand on my cheek.

"I want you to take it." I said holding her hand.

"I know but we have to see if I even get the job." She says walking out of the room.

"You will. Trust me." I said exiting the room.
