Candyman, you're too sweet.
You give me so much lollipops
so eagerly and thoughtlessly
at the corner of the street.I push you away
and you would give me
a cotton candy
just to cheer me up.Even Jawbreakers can't match
to how difficult it is
to break my personality down;
and I always saw you around town.You let me melt slowly
instead of spitting me out
like everybody does;
and I thought of you recently.You deserve a bubblegum romance
and a woman worthy to entrance,
not someone who defies obeisance
and is full of sourness and ignorance.Yet you take me with no hesitation,
making it sound like an invitation
to a world of wanted toothaches
and tempting, sugar-filled cupcakes.Candyman, you're intoxicating sweet.
Only you can fill up the bitterness in me
with rich chocolates and fresh strawberries.
Nothing in this world is as bittersweet as us.
