[Hyuk Imagine] Confession

You sighed dreamily, staring at the back of the guy that was sitting few seats in front of you. Ever since the start of your first year in college, you have fallen head over heels over him. Despite the fact that both of you were classmates in most of the classes, you had never gotten the opportunity to strike a conversation with him, much to your dismay.

However, it was almost impossible to talk to him since he was always surrounded by people who desperately wanted his attention due to his vast popularity. After all, not only was he drop-dead handsome, he had top-notch grades and he was extremely talented in Basketball. To summarize, Han Sanghyuk, also known as Hyuk is simply perfect and being friends with him is something that everyone in school wished for.

Your eyebrows creased into a frown when you noticed an envelope on your desk as you returned from lunch break. It was not there before you left for lunch, which makes the envelope suspicious. You glanced around at your surrounding classmates as you picked up the envelope, wondering who could be the one who had placed it on your desk.

"Hey, did you manage to see who put this on my desk?" You asked your best friend, who shook her head as you waved the envelope in front of her. Curiosity growing by the minute, you opened the envelope carefully to pull out a yellow note. You immediately read its contents.

Meet me at the rooftop of the science building after school? There is something that I want to talk to you about. I won't leave till I see you.

Your Secret Admirer

Your eyes widen with shock the moment you read till the end of the note, unable to believe the fact that you had a secret admirer. While you should be thankful for the fact that there is someone out there in the school who had shown interest in you, you instantly felt sorry for the person, because you knew you only have eyes for Hyuk.

[Hyuk pov]

I took a backward glance casually and noticed her staring hard at the piece of note, the piece of note that I had written at least a month ago but lacked the courage to pass it to her. With our summer holidays approaching, the pure fact that I won't be seeing her for weeks had allowed me to gather up my courage and place the note on her desk.

Placing the note on her desk was a gamble by itself as I had never talked to her before, despite the fact that we were classmates in most of our classes. I knew nothing about her since she had always maintained her distance. I had been secretly hoping that she will approach me to make friends but to no avail.

I guess I am crazy because I didn't know her that well, or should I say nothing and yet I am already planning to confess my attraction for her.

You climbed the stairs to the roof slowly as you felt your heart pounded in your chest rapidly from the nervousness. You rehearsed in your head the exact words on how to reject your secret admirer despite the fact you had never met him before.

You opened the door to the rooftop and noticed a guy standing there. Judging from where you were standing, you noticed that the guy was tall and closely resembled Hyuk back view since you had been staring at it for a long time. You shook your head as you tried to clear your thoughts. There is simply no way your secret admirer could be Hyuk, it's just absurd.

As you edged closer, you cleared your throat and just when the guy was about to turn his head, you stopped him.

"N... No don't turn around! It's easier for me to speak freely if you are not staring at me." You stuttered as the guy froze in position, his head not turning around.

"Look, I don't know who you are but firstly I am extremely thankful for you being my secret admirer. And before you say whatever that is on your mind I just want to let you know that I have someone that I really like so I really hope you will forget about me and move on. Sorry for not being able to return your feelings." You continued quickly, repeating what you have rehearsed in your head.

[Hyuk pov]

I froze the moment she told me to. What I didn't expect was the fact that she didn't even allow me to confess to her and she simply shoot me down with her rejection. I stood there, unsure what I should say because at that moment, I felt like shit and my heart crushed. I had been secretly watching her, admiring her from far since the moment we became classmates and yet before I even got a chance, her heart was already with someone else.

That individual must be really lucky.

"May I know who the person is? You can tell me, can't you?" I asked her as there was silence for a while, as though she was contemplating whether she should tell me the guy who had stolen her heart.

"Well, I guess there is no harm letting you know who that person is... It's Hyuk that I like." I heard her whisper.

As you whispered your answer out, he suddenly burst out laughing, much to your surprise, as though he turned mental. Afraid that he would something insane, you began to back away from him slowly. You only managed to take two steps before you heard him speak.

"___, where do you think you are going now that you have confessed to me?" He said as you froze, processing what he said. You immediately turned back your head to find Hyuk standing there, giving you his unique boyish grin.

"W...what are you doing here?" You stammered, stumped from the turnout of events. The last thing you ever expected was that the guy on the roof was really Hyuk. All along you thought it was your hallucination.

"I was the one who wrote the note and wanted to confess my affection for you! What I didn't expect was for you to reject me before I could even utter a word!" Hyuk began as he stared at you incredulously as you turned bright red from embarrassment.

"So know that I have heard your confession, which I am really thankful for, how about it's my turn to confess now?" Hyuk continued as you gave a small nod.

"___, I have my eyes on you ever since we stepped foot into the school and I have been waiting forever to have this opportunity to tell you what I felt about you. You are the only person in the whole school that is able to make my heart flutter. I know I may not know anything about you, but I sincerely hope you give me the opportunity to know you. Are you willing to be my girlfriend?" He said in a serious tone as you felt tears in your eyes, touched which what Hyuk had said.

"I guess that's a yes?" He continued when you didn't utter a word while he opened his arms as you walked into it.

"Now that you are here, I swear I will never ever let you go."
