Steve POV
I got up from the couch with Elena in my arms, trying not to jostle her awake. She had fallen asleep quite quickly. I don't really understand why, though. In all honesty, she didn't really fight that much. A few shots here and a few thrown knives there. Maybe it was that nightmare she hd last night. I know I can never sleep right after waking up in the middle of the night. Yeah, that's probably it.
I walked slowly over to Elena's bedroom, feeling my own tiredness seep into my bones. I gently pushed open the door to her beroom as a loud yawn escaped my mouth. Wow, I'm suprised that didn't wake China, much less Elena.I walked into her room quietly, admiring the decorations.
She had painted her room a light purple, something she called "periwinkle". Such an odd name for a color. Her light blue painted wooden bed was set up in the middle of the room, a white and purple patterned comforter on top with big, fluffy pillows. A glass bookshelf was placed on the east wall, holding books and small knick-knacks. A large painting of a little girl dancing hung on the wall as well, above the glass desk and big white chair. When I had asked Elena about it, she told me that it was herself and it had once hung in her old home in Italy. Her parents had gotten the portrait done of her a few years before the accident. The west wall was made eniterly of glass, and a white couch was placed against it along with a small glass coffee table piled high with magazines. A small chandalier hung from the ceiling with elegant lightbulbs and crystals and her large closet was along the south wall.
I shuffled my way over to her bed in the dark room, the only light coming from the moon through the glass wall. I gently laid Elena down and removed all her weapons attached to her body as small snores left her pretty mouth. I placed all her guns and knives underneeth her bed, that way she wouldn't blindly step on them in the morning and get hurt.
I looked down at the sleeping woman sprawled out across the bed. This was no ordinary woman. God, she was so amazing. Every little thing she did amazed me. The way she laughed, the way she smiled, the way she talked, the way she walked. Especially the way she walked. She would sway her hips lightly as I couldn't help but to sneak a glance at her round bottom.
I leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to her cheek, giving her one last glance before I turned around and made my way to my bedroom. Shutting the door softly, I began to strip out of my unifrom.
We had painted my room a nice red, Elena having helped me pick out the color. My black painted wooden bed was placed against the west wall, witha royal blue comforter and nice pillows. My desk matched the wood of my bed and was placed along the south wall along with a black leather chair. Three glass shelves hung above that, holding pictures and small things from my past. Farther down the wall, I had hung a punching bag from the ceiling right next to the closeyt. That way I wouldn't have to go down to the gym to let out my frustration. The east wall was also made entirely of glass and looked out into the water. A black leather couch had been placed against it along with a small black wooden table and a couple of motorcylce magazines that Elena had bought for me. Our rooms were very similar, truth be told. But it didn't bother me.
I got into bed in my underwear, too tired to put anything else on. I let out a sigh of content as I let my body sink into the soft mattress. My heavy lids lost in the fight trying to keep them open, and soon I was surrounded by black darkness.
-------
I felt something jump on my bed as I awoke slighly jostled from the sudden movement. I opened my eyes slightly only to close them again from the blinding bright light. I reopened them to see Elena sitting at the end of my bed, the light shinning brightly on her smiling face.
