Elena POV
We were all sat around a large table at Shwarma, eating our food and conversing with each other. It felt good to relax after the battle. I was exhausted, and I’m sure everyone else was too.
“Who would be easier to sleep with?” Tony said as he swallowed, “A giant octopus or Natasha? Everyone cracked up, even Nat. I’m surprised she hadn’t choked him yet.
“A giant octopus,” I laughed out. Everyone just began to laugh even harder.
“Very true,” Natasha replied as she took a bite of her Shwarma.
“So what do you guys think Kytrae is up to?” Bruce asked changing the subject. I had handed over the information to Fury. No one knew what the information said because it was written in a special code. S.H.I.E.L.D was working on it right now.
“I know not,” said Thor, “I just hope that is nothing of grave importance. If it is, I shall get my brother, Loki, and Lady Sif and the Warriors Three involved.”
“What?” I replied, confused by his big words. Steve laughed as he took a sip of his drink.
“If this situation turns out to be of grave importance -,”
“No, no. I know what you said. Those are just strange names.” I said as I took a sip of my Sprite. Thor’s eyebrows furrowed as he looked at me confused.
“Strange?” He questioned. “How so?”
“Well,” I began, “People here don’t have names like Sif or Loki or even Thor for that matter.”
“Well, what are people named here?”
“Steve’s a pretty common name,” said Steve with a smile.
“So is Bruce,” said the scientist as he swallowed.
“And Tony, Natasha, and Clint are too.” said Tony. Everyone nodded in agreement.
“Elena’s a common name in Italy, too,” I said as I looked at everyone. “And there’s a bunch of other names too, Thor. Adam, Jacob, Edward, Robert, Christopher for men. Elizabeth, Mary, Katherine, Margaret, Debra for women.”
“Strange,” Thor said as he continued wolfing down his food. I just laughed and finished eating my own. It was just as strange to him as it was strange to us when it came to Earth and Asgard.
“Elena,” said Tony. I looked at him expectantly. “If you had kids, what would you name them?”
“Well,” I said, “If I had a girl, I would name her Celine Violetta. My grandmother, who was from France, her name was Celine. And my mother’s name was Violetta.”
“What about a boy?” asked Clint.
“Etienne Agostino. Etienne was my grandfather, also from France. And Agostino was my father’s name.” I replied with a small smile as I thought about my late family. I missed them incredibly. Both my mother and my father were half French and half Italian. I had only met my grandmother on my mother’s side, Celine, and my grandfather on my father’s side, Etienne, a few times before they died. I loved them dearly.
“Etienne?” asked Tony, “Does that have an English translation?”
“It’s actually Steven in English,” I said with a smile as I looked over at Steve. He blushed slightly and smiled back.
“So in France, my name is Etienne?” He asked as he looked at me with his gorgeous blue eyes. I nodded in reply, leaning over and placing a small kiss on his cheek. He blushed and looked down, finishing his meal.
