Chapter 10

Steve POV

"Mehhhh!" Tomy whines as he was laid out on the floor of the jet. We had just left to Moscow under Fury's order. Clint and Natasha were piloting the jet while Bruce, Tony, Thor, Elena and I sat in the passenger seats.

"I don't understand why I couldn't fly," Tony said, "I'm perfectly capable." He was right. Tony had his suit and Thor had his hammer. They could fly, so I don't know why they were in the jet. I didn't mind Thor, he usually kept to himself anyways. But Tony always got on my damn last nerve.

"Shut the fuck up, Tony," said Elena boringly, leaning against my shoulder with her eyes closed. We all burst out laughing at her remark, even Tony.

"I'm taking it a certain somebody didn't get a lot of sleep last night?" He said with a smirk and raised eyebrows. Elena's eyes opened immediately at his remark.

"Yes," she said with a smirk of her own, "I was a little busy making out with my super hot boyfriend." I blushed at her comment and Tony's smile faltered as Elena's grew bigger.

"You're no fun," he muttered. Elena heard him and just laughed. It remained silent for a while afterwards, nobody disturbing the silence.

I closed my eyes and leaned my head against the seat as Elena snuggled closer to me. I let a small smile appear on my face. Happiness filled me as I thought more about Elena. God, what a woman. She was beautiful, kind, smart, caring, brave, and didn't take crap from anybody. She was perfect. Even more so than. . . than Peggy.

There was still a part of me that missed and loved Peggy dearly. But another part, the bigger one, only thought about Elena. I think I might actually be in lo-

"Steve?" asked Elena, interrupting my thoughts. Completely forgetting what I was thinking about, I looked down at her cuddled against my arm.

"Yeah?"

"Hi," she said with a small smile. I laughed quietly. Elena could be so silly sometimes. I like that about her though.

"Well hello to you, too." I whisper back. We stated into each other's eyes for what felt like ours, but was only a few seconds. One could get so lost in those amazing blue eyes. I know had blue eyes, but here's we're completely different. They were a very bright and light blue, but they were also on the verge of a green color. Amazing.

"Could you to please stop with the love fest?" Tony said as he continued to play on his phone. I looked over at Tony with a glare.

"And what about you and Miss Pots? You don't show her any affection?" I questioned. Tony just huffed and went back to his phone. "That's what I thought." I said as I looked back down to Elena.

"I'm going to propose," Tony whispered all of a sudden. We all looked at him with huge eyes.

"Oh my god, Tony!" yelled Elena as she launched out of her seat and hugged Tony. "Congratulations! Oh, I love weddings!" Tony laughed as she ruffled her hair.

"It's quite strange," Thor began as we all looked at him, "How one moment Miss Elena despises Mr. Stark, and then suddenly changes her attitude." Elena and Tony looked back to each other.

"It's a love hate relationship," they both said in unison with a smirk. They busted out laughing as Elena got up from the floor and made her way back over to me. We smiled at each other as she made herself comfortable next to me.

The rest of the journey was spent with idle chit chat and annoying remarks from Tony. He was nothing like his father. Maybe on the outside, but on the inside he was a completely different person.

"Guys," I spoke up, "We're going to land three miles away from Kytrae HQ, in the forest. We will split up in teams. Clint and Natasha, Tony, Thor, and Bruce, and Elena and I. Elena, you will be the one to sneak into the head office and get the information we need as the rest of us stand guard and, if needed, cause a distraction." Everyone nodded their heads and got ready for landing.
