Elena POV

It’s been a week since our Asgardian allies have arrived here on Earth, and it seemed as if they had settled in quite nicely. We had taken them out to the city, showing them what our home was like. Of course we gave them some “normal” clothing for our outings, that way we would not attract any attention. But I think men like Thor and Loki get attention anywhere they go.

I had to admit that they were both incredibly handsome. Completely different, but handsome nonetheless. They carried themselves differently, like the royalty they were. Graceful, but powerful, strides, a perfectly straight back, and head slight raised showed their true upbringing. But, of course I still thought my man was the most handsome of them all.

Training had been rough, especially when it came to fighting the warriors. We were unaccustomed to their tactics and fighting styles, so going up against a sword, axe, or dagger was a little challenging.

“Again!” I yell out hoarsely as I pick myself up from the floor mat. Sweat coated my body, stinging my eyes as it made its way down my face. I was currently dressed in black yoga pants and sports bra. I had to admit that I liked the way Steve looked at me in this get-up. Maybe I would put it on for him later, when we’re alone.

As I found my balance, I looked up at my opponent. Loki wore his signature smirk as he too was drenched in sweat. We had convinced him that wearing leather and metal wouldn’t be a good idea for training, so instead he wore a black spandex long sleeve and some black track pants.

All of us were currently in the training room, preparing for the battle to come. However, it was only Loki and me out on the floor, the others deeming that they wanted to watch the show. Steve really didn’t like the idea of it, but it’s Steve, and he never likes me fighting.

“I think that’s enough, Elena,” Steve called out with worry in his voice. “You’ve been at it for about three hours. Take a break, honey.”

“Yes, ‘honey’”, drawled out Loki in his slithery and sarcastic voice, “I think you’ve had enough.”

Narrowing my eyes, I replied with sarcasm dripping in my voice.

“Actually, I don’t think I have, you snake.”

Rushing towards him, I pulled out one of my rubber blades, specifically made not to injure during training, and expertly flicked my wrist, aiming towards his chest. Loki blocked it easily, but was too distracted with his self-pride to see my leg swing out and kick his own legs out from underneath him.

Landing on his back with a soft thud, I placed my foot on his chest, keeping him down where he lay.

“Now who’s had enough, princess?” A flash of mischief sparkled in Loki’s green eyes right before he quickly reached up and grabbed my calf, pulling me down on to the floor next to him.

“Still you, my darling.” He replied with a light laugh. I couldn’t help but to laugh along with him as I heaved myself up, extending an arm out to Loki. He took my hand willingly, pulling himself up to stand next to me.

We made our way to the others who were all clapping as we approached.

“Bravo!” yelled Tony obnoxiously, “Encore!”

“Shove it, Tony,” I said breathlessly. Everyone let out a laugh as Steve passed me my water bottle. Taking a large swig, I held the water in my mouth, puffing my cheeks .Steve chuckled as he reached out quickly to squeeze my cheeks, making some of the water dribble out of my mouth.

I smacked him against the chest as I swallowed the remaining water in my mouth.

“Jerk!” I laughed.
