Chapter Seven: Curiosity Killed the Cat

~Vanoss POV~

I held onto Jonathan's sleeping body and then sharp stinging pain on my cheek. I looked up and saw Anna glaring at me.

"I do-," I said before being cut off by Anna screeching at me.

"Can it Evan, one minute you want to leave and now you want to stay with lover boy over there."

"Anna I just......."

"We are going now," she yelled while grabbing my wrist and tugging on me.

"Maybe I don't want to go," I said firmly and sitting down.

"Your acting like a child."

"I am not you are Anna," I said playing with Jonathan's hair. She rolled her eyes.

"Fine I'll go," I said sadly.

"Evan I'm not doing this to hurt you only to help you."

"I know I just will go on one condition."

"And that is?"

"I can see him whenever."

"No!"

"But," I whined.

"Evan it's now or never."

"Okay fine."

"Great let's go home." I sighed and picked up Johnathan and carried him bridal style he was surprisingly light.

"Where to Evan." I smiled lightly and walked off into the darkening forest. We would be out of this creepy forest if Johnathan never fell asleep. But he was so adorable when sleeping soundly.

"Evan are we almost there," Anna groaned from behind me.

"Yeah we are really close to the edge of this place."

"Good because I can't see anything past you and it's getting darker," she whined.

"Anna we're here," I said stepping onto the lawn with the moonlight guiding us back to the door.

"Evan remember the plans," Anna said quietly before disappearing inside. I sighed and tried to sneak inside. As the floor boards creaked of the weight of me and Jonathan. As soon we were halfway to my room a balding butler stopped me in my tracks. Thankfully he didn't see me he was to focused on bringing tea to who knows where. Once gone I continued my trek to my room but a gnawing feeling in my stomach to follow the butler. I glanced down at Johnathan then the corner the butler turned. Should I follow him or not I questioned over and again.

"Well Johnathan I'm going on little adventure," I whispered softly to him. I laid him down slowly and kissed his forehead and ran off after the butler.
