Josh's POV: Oh man... My plan actually worked! Bad news was, the Makkapitew had eyes for me now. And not the lovey dovey eyes, the murderous hungry eyes. The same look that I got when I was eating like a disgusting beast!
But as I was thinking, it launched at me! Of course I tried to block but I wasn't paying close enough attention to find where he was going for. It grabbed my arm and pulled it back far! Too far... Almost. Right before my arm snapped I pulled it away from him and grabbed it back! But of course, he grabbed at my leg this time and I wasn't as lucky... POP! And just like that, my leg was useless and out of its socket.
I fell to the ground, knowing it was the end, when I heard a banshee, tribal-like scream! I always knew she'd have my back!
(Y/N) POV: Of course I would have his back! The so called "fight" was getting out of hand! Josh's leg broke and I was the only one who could help him! I screamed bloody murder and jumped at the Makkapitew! Katana in hand, I slashed at it for a while, not letting it get a chance on me!
Eventually, it left, but me and Josh both knew that it wasn't over with the Makkapitew. It wasn't even close!
"Josh!!! Are you ok? Don't worry, I'll help you!" I told him, rambling on and not letting him speak until I was done.
"It's ok, I'm fine." He said, but both of us knew he was lying.
"Why would you DO that?" I asked incredulously.
"Because I didn't want YOU to get hurt!" He said, trying to make me understand, I did.
"It's ok, we'll get you back home!" I said, reassuringly. Even though that cave wasn't much of a home to either of us. But it was all we had. "Ok Josh, you're not gonna like this but the only way that we can get you back home... Is to pop your leg back in place..." I said slowly. His eyes widened in terror
"You can't do that!!!" He exclaimed in terror/anger.
"And why not? Do you want to be safe and at 'home' or do you want to stay here?" I asked, loosing my patience. That seemed to get him.
"Fine, but please do it quickly!" He said, the fear not leaving his voice any time soon. I popped it back in quickly... But not quick enough for Josh! He freaking threw up in terror of what had just happened! Ewwww!
"Gross Josh!" I yelled. Utterly disgusting!
Josh's POV: "I can't help it (Y/N)!" I retorted. "That sucked!" It was true, but throwing up didn't suck as much as breaking your own leg and that was for sure!
As I began to sit up and walk my leg was at least strong enough for me to walk. But the bad news was, (Y/N) had to kind of help me get back home by carrying a lot of my weight on her shoulders. But she could handle it! She was strong enough!
When we got back to the cave, (Y/N) got me to a rock to sit up against. I slumped gratefully against the rock. When (Y/N) got back she had bandages, lots and lots of bandages!
"Awwwww! Come on! Why do we need bandages?" I wined.
"Because you need to make sure that you don't move your leg for a few days. But I'm not sure if you being part human will last that long!" She said, the utter truthfulness hitting her voice.
"I don't feel like I'm changing" I said, not even thinking about it so much that I surprised myself... What? Was I really not changing?
