New Kid In School

*~ Still don't know the plot, but I will try my hardest and see where it leads us~*

P.O.V. Naruto

The warmth wrapped itself around me, leaving my mind numb and my body unwilling to move. As I sat there snuggled up in my blanket, images slowly swam through my head. Thoughts of what I wanted to do today and what kind of ramen I would eat. Then a pang of stiffness hit my body. Today was a school day. I shot out of my warm blanket,  to instead be surrounded by the cold air, to check my alarm clock. It was 7:50. School started at 8:15 and my bus went by ten minutes ago. I literally jumped off of my bed and ran to the bathroom. Grabbing my toothbrush and toothpaste, I quickly squirted some of the paste onto the brush. While scrubbing away at my teeth, I reached for my comb. After finishing both tasks, I ran back into my bedroom and grabbed a handful of clothes. Quickly, I pulled on a pair of jeans and shimmied my hoodie over my head.

While I shoved all of my papers and school books into my book bag, I ran to the kitchen and nabbed a shiny pouch of Pop-tarts. I stood at the door, panting and running through everything I needed for the day in my head. I sighed in relief. I turned around and fiddled with the dead bolt and door handle. Once I had locked my door, I took off walking to the school. I glanced down at my phone, It was 7:58. 'WOW' I thought ' A new record!'. Since it only takes 6 minutes to walk to school from my house, I slowed my brisk walk down to a relaxed one. I was enjoying the scenery and the taste of my cherry flavored Pop-tart.

 About half way to school, I spotted a raven haired kid. He looked to be about my age and very lost. I walked up to him and tapped his shoulder. He spun around to face me, confusion and fear coated his eyes. 'Did I scare him?' I thought.

"Hey, are you okay?" I asked him. He still looked a little frightened but he seemed to have calmed down. He quickly glanced down at a paper in his hands.

"Yeah" he said "I'm fine. But do you happen to know where I can find this school?" He handed me the sheet he was holding. There, on the top of the paper, was a bright blue capital 'B'. He goes to Brookton, the school I go to and have been going to for the past several years.

"OF COURSE!" I shouted. He flinched a bit, but then raised an eyebrow. I grabbed his wrist and pulled him with me. He tried to pull his hand back but I held on tightly. "You are attending Brookton High School, right?" He nodded, still trying to get his hand away from mine. "You go to the same school I do!" I said, a smile smeared across my face. He frowned, but there was a hint of joy sparkling in his obsidian eyes.

The remainder of our walk was quiet but very pleasant. The crisp, cool wind blew through my blonde hair. And there was warmth spreading through my hand since I still held onto the raven's wrist. Once we had reached the school, I glanced back at the raven. His face showed a slight smile as he looked at his new school. His eyes then moved to look at me, the smile fell to leave behind a straight face. I let go of his wrist awkwardly.

"This is it! I'll take you to the office. But first," I stuck out my hand "My name is Naruto." He put his hand in mine, the warmth spreading across my hand once again. He briskly moved our hands up and down a few times.

"Sasuke." he stated plainly. I smiled at him yet again. He smirked at me in reply.

I motioned for him to follow me as I walked inside. The office wasn't very far from the main doors so I walked the few feet to the door and opened it for him. He nodded in gratitude as he walked in with me trailing behind him. After standing at the desk, waiting for the secretary to finish talking with another student, Sasuke handed her the paper he showed me earlier. Her eyes skimmed the paper. She looked back up and handed him a class guide.

"Here you go Mr. Uchiha. You and Naruto have the same classes for the first few periods so stick with him for a while." she stated. Sasuke turned to me, his eyes stating for me to lead the way.

I walked down the long hallway. On the trip down to our classroom, Walk This Way started playing through the intercoms and the passing band kids started rocking out to it. The enjoyment they had in this song made me smile. I turned to my side to see Sasuke mouthing the lyrics. My smile widened. He noticed me smiling at him. He glared at me with those obsidian eyes that pierced through the good mood he just had. We had reached the science hall, so I stepped up the few stairs and turned to the left into Mr. Corbs' chemistry class. I sat down at my lab desk, Sasuke sat next to me. I could tell that today was going to be a good day.
