P.O.V. Naruto
The sun moved lazily through the sky as if to say that the day was meant to be warm and relaxing. Wind was blowing lightly through the air, allowing leaves and hair to flow carelessly with it. The sidewalk was warm from the rays of sunlight. Birds chirped happily in the swaying branches. People on the streets walked slowly, simply walking to walk.
Sasuke was walking beside me. I looked over to him. His eyes were closed and his head was tilted up, a small smile emerged on his face. A small gust of warm wind pushed his hair back off of his face. His pale skin looked like a pearl that had been expertly polished.
A small sigh of happiness made it's way out of me and caught Sasuke's attention. My faced heated up as a dark crimson blush covered my face. I quickly turned away, hoping the raven didn't realize I was staring at him. A small chuckle radiated from Sasuke.
"What were you staring at, Usuratonkachi?" he purred, purposefully bothering me. I didn't answer nor did I turn back around. I was only giving him the satisfaction of getting under my skin. He chuckled some more and grabbed my hand. A startled squeak left mouth and the blush on my face grew deeper. Still, I refused to turn my head. He placed his fingers under my chin and forced me to look at him. Our slow walking pace stopped and his body was turned towards mine. "Why won't you look at me?" He asked seductively, his face dangerously close to me.
I started stuttering incoherent words and fumbling to get my hand away. Before I could he tightened his grip and threw his head back. Laughter escaped his mouth and moved his body. By the end he was breathing heavily and his eyes were watering. He started walking forward, dragging me with him.
The rest of the walk was silent and awkward. Sasuke never once let go of my hand and a blush still lightly dusted across my face. I occasionally looked over at him, often turning away if he was looking.
After what seemed like and hour, we finally reached the mall. I tried wriggling my palm away. Sasuke turned to me and cocked an eyebrow. I eyed our hands and looked back up at the raven. He chuckled.
"Are you embarrassed?" he asked. His voice was silky and I shuttered.
"Ofcourse I am!" I exclaimed quietly, trying not to gain attention "We are going into busy place and I don't want people getting the wrong idea!"
Sasuke leaned in close to my ear and purred. "And what would that idea be?" A shudder made it's way down my spine and my blush deepened once again. I stood frozen in my shoes and stared over the raven's shoulder.
Something caught me eye though. It was a man walking on the other side of the street. He had long black hair pulled back in a pony tail and a black shirt with red clouds on it. He didn't seem to notice me staring and continued walking down the road.
Sasuke yanked me away from me and stared at my face. "Are you okay?" He turned around to look at what I saw. His muscles stiffened a little and spun back around. He then proceeded to drag me into the mall. I was struggling to pull my arm away the entire time.
"Hey! Let me go!" I grumbled, still trying to rip out of his grip. He turned to face me, his obsidian eyes filled fear and worry. I stopped my attempts of escape and shuddered. Though I had only just met him, I knew that he was not someone who was easily scared. I opened my mask to ask what was wrong but nothing left my mouth. My throat was clenched and it was become harder to breathe. Sasuke's eyes widened in surprise.
"Are you okay?!?" He exclaimed, grabbing hold of my face. It felt like he was looking through my eyes and into my soul. I brought my hand up to my neck and started messaging my throat in hopes of loosening the muscles. I felt like I was about to cry but I didn't know why. Was it because Sasuke was afraid of something? Could something he saw be terribly dangerous? Sasuke pulled me into a hug, gripping me tightly. He was trembling slightly.
"What's gotten into you?" I asked with a rasp, the vibrations scratching the sensitive windpipe. He pulled away and smiled as if nothing was wrong.
"Nothing! I was just trying to get whatever was in your throat out." He replied, his eyes clearly betraying his statement.
"But I wasn't choking... And isn't the Heimlich done from behind?" I looked at him questioningly, hoping he would tell me the truth.
A blush spread across his face "Oh, oops. At least you weren't choking, because I guess I wouldn't have been much help" He forced out a laugh in an attempt to cover is lie. I furrowed my eyebrows at him, but shrugged. If he he doesn't want to tell me, I shouldn't force. Maybe he will tell me later.
I looked around the mall trying to find a store. Maybe I could find a distraction from this awkward situation. I spotted a Create-A-Creature. I giggled happily and dragged the raven behind me. I skipped through the entrance way and looked around the little store. One side of the store was lined with unstuffed animals, the other side littered with several tiny outfits. In the back was a large machine filled with white stuffing.
Sasuke chuckled behind me "Childish much?" He questioned, a few more chuckles flowing from him. I gave him a stern look which quickly changed into a big, ear to ear grin. I pulled once more over to the unstuffed animals. I skimmed over the different styles until I found one. It was a black and blue marbled bear. I picked a skin out of the bin and held it up to Sasuke. But he wasn't looking. Instead, he was looking curiously at an orange fox. He gently picked up one and turned to face me. When he noticed me watching him, he turned his face and blushed. Wow. His personality changed fast. Haha!
I held my bear up for me to see and he smiled. "I like it! It's cute" he said, the blush on his face darkened a bit more.
I smiled at him. "I thought so too! C'mon, lets go give them so life!" I exclaimed, running over to the stuffing machine.
After Sasuke and I carefully filled our animals, we turned to the clothing side. I picked out a dark blue shirt with a neck hole the resembled a bowl. I pulled it on over my bear's head. I looked down fondly on my creation.
Sasuke tapped my shoulder. I turned around to face him but instead found a small jacket in my face. "Do you think this one looks good?" he asked nervously, clearly embarrassed about his current situation. The jacket was orange and blue. I smiled.
"I like it!" I answered with a bubbly voice "What are you going to name it?" I looked down at mine, thinking of what his name should be. Navy? No, too plain. Fluffy? No, WAY to overused. Then it clicked and I had his named figured out.
"I think I'll name it Naru~" he purred. My face started to heat up as a deep crimson blush found it's way to my cheeks.
"W-why is that?" I asked, my words shaking a little.
"Well you are the first friends I've had for years, and you WERE the one who dragged me here." He chuckled a bit. "How about you? What is your bear's name?"
The blush some how darkened as I stuttered out my new bear's name "S-sasu". Sasuke chuckled a bit and walked to the cash register. He payed for our animals, but not without me protesting. I refused to let them cashier put him in the bag and insisted on carrying him. I hugged Sasu close to my chest and walked close beside Sasuke.
After a few more stores, we started walking back to his place. The night was started to creep over the sky. Sleep was also creeping through my body. I started leaning heavily on Sasuke. A large yawn leaving my mouth. Once we entered his house, I walked up the stairs and flopped on his bed. Before I fell asleep, I heard Sasuke chuckle.
"Goodnight, Naru~" he said quietly.
