P.O.V. Naruto

The day had gone by so slow that it felt like I was riding a snail. Luckily, Sasuke was in most of my classes so I had someone to talk to. Each teacher had given us homework that day. It was almost like they all came together and made a plan to make us student suffer. It was a good thing most of it was short assignment, all except for math. My math teacher had given her class 20 questions over a subject had we talked about for only a half an hour.

The last class for me is Study Hall. During the entire period, Sasuke and I worked on our homework. I was able to finish all of my homework except for my math. I didn't understand a single question. At the end of school, I asked Sasuke if he could come over and help me with it. He simply nodded his head. The bell rang, signaling the school day was over and the students had freedom. I crammed all my books and paper back into my bag and walked with Sasuke out of the school.

"This is it!" I said loudly, receiving a glare from the raven beside me. He looked ahead at my small apartment. He furrowed his eyebrows then turned back to me.

"This is your house." He stated "How many people live here with you?" I shrugged my shoulders.

"Just me" I said, my loud voice fading into a soft, sad one. Sasuke looked at me, his eyes showing sympathy. He actually felt sorry for me. He then laid his hand on my shoulder and shot me a sad smile. My mood brightened up and a bounced up to my door. I got out my key and shoved it into the keyhole, jiggling the knob for what seemed like 5 minutes until I had finally was able to open the door. I walked inside and threw off my backpack and kicked off my shoes. Sasuke followed my actions but in a more gently fashion, lying his things on the ground and untying his shoes.

I walked into the kitchen and grabbed an apple. "You want something to eat really quick before we start?" I said, glancing back at him. He shook head and I stared him down. He casually stared back until he finally sighed.

"Sure, do you have any yogurt?" he asked. I danced a little since I made him crack, then walked to the fridge. I grabbed out a pouch of yogurt and tossed it to him, followed by a spoon. He caught both of them and opened the yogurt.

I sighed with content. That was quiet a delicious apple that I had just finished eating. I turned my head to Sasuke when my eyes caught sight of his face. I tried to hold back a laugh when I saw some yogurt smeared on the corner of hid upper lip. The laugh escaped my mouth and Sasuke turned to shoot a glare at me.

"What?" He said, concerned as to why I was laughing. I pointed to my upper lip and he blushed a bit, but his skin was so pale that I could very well see it. He quickly wiped it off and hid his face behind his hair. I giggled a little while I pulled out my math book. I flipped to tonight's homework and nabbed my pencil and notebook and scribbled down my name.

"Ok!" I said, quickly turning back to Sasuke "How do I do this?" Sasuke sighed and scooched up next to me. He used a pencil from his bag to point and circle information on the page. I stared at him with disbelief. He just wrote in the school's book!

He looked back up at me "what?" I pointed at the scribbles. He looked at the paper, then back at me. He seemed confused until something clicked in his head. "You can just erase it" He stated, taking the eraser at the end of his pencil to the markings on the book. I relaxed when I saw that the graphite didn't smear on the page. He rolled his eyes and continued writing.

"UGH" I complained, flopping down on the couch. After laying there for a few seconds, I stuck my hand in my pocket and tugged out me phone. 5 o'clock. I flipped over to see Sasuke stretched out on the floor. "Hey" I said, getting his attention "wanna stay over for dinner? It's already 5" He lay on the floor pondering his answer. Once he had come to a conclusion, he sat up and nodded his head.

"Ok" I got up and dusted off my pants "what would you like to eat?" I asked. He shrugged his shoulders and flopped back to the ground. After rummaging around in my cupboards, I noticed that I only had ramen and soup. I sighed and brought out a cup of ramen and a can of soup and carried them over to the Raven. I nudged him with my foot and when he turned to glare at me, I showed him the two food items. "This is all I have. If you don't want them I could go to the grocery."

"No need" He said. He then took the soup out of my hand "This will make a nice dinner"

I smiled and his kindness "Sounds good to me!" Turning on my heel, I went to cook the soup. After taking the lids off of two cans, I poured them into a pot. Soup splattered all over my shirt as I jumped back a little with surprise. I looked down at the stains and sighed. Once I had the pot on the stovetop, I made my way to my room so I could change. I closed the door and nosed around my room, unable to find a clean shirt. Then I spotted a piece of bright orange fabric. I went over to it and tugged it out of my pile of clean clothes. It was a tank top. I grumbled and changed into the neon shirt.

I walked back out to the living room and found Sasuke stirring to soup. 'Perfect' I thought, smiling devilishly. I made my way to the entrance of the kitchen and then quietly walked behind him. I waited until he put down the spoon he was using to stir. Once the spoon was on the table, I grabbed his shoulders and screamed BOO. Sasuke jumped out of my grasp and turned toward me in a defensive position. Once he realized I was the one that spooked him, he calmed down a bit. But then he became very mad at me.

"WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?" He yelled, pushing me up against the wall with such force that the lights in the room dimmed for a second. "WHY WOULD THAT BE SOMETHING YOU DO? DO YOU TRY AND SCARE EVERYONE? DO YOU EVEN HAVE ANY FRIENDS?" Sasuke screamed, pure anger blazed in his eyes. I winced. He was right, I have very few friends and I do scare everyone. His face fell. He knew he had hit a very sensitive subject right on the head. Sasuke spoke again, his voice pulled back from the yelling to a barely audible whisper. "I'm so sorry" He let go of my shoulders and looked down "I didn't mean to hurt you. I don't even know what came over me. He looked back up again, the anger that was in his eyes had disappeared and was replaced with pleading.

I opened my mouth to reply with understanding but was cut off before I could say anything. The stove was ringing, signaling that the soup was done.

Sasuke snapped his head toward the oven, staring at it with menace. He then turned back to me. All the emotions that were in his eyes a moment ago were gone, only to leave behind a blank expression. He let me go as he went to go take the pot off of the stove. I grabbed two bowls and two spoons and filled up both bowls with the hot liquid.

I walked over to the couch and Sasuke followed at a distance. I set my soup down on the little table in front of the couch and picked up the T.V. remote. I switched on the T.V. and flipped the channel to Disney. I looked over to Sasuke.

"Is this okay?" I asked, wondering if the kid shows bothered him.

"Hn." He said, nodding a bit.

Even with the funny childish jokes, dinner was quiet and awkward. We both ate at a fast pace so we could get out of the heavy feelings that hung in the air. Once I had finished my bowl of soup, I got up and washed the dish. Sasuke followed close behind, his bowl was also empty. He handed me his bowl and I put it in the sink with mine. I turned to him and gave a little smile. His lips move up a little, but his eyes brightened up.

Sasuke looked up at the clock in my kitchen and gasped. I turned around to see that it was already 7. "How is it already 7?" I question the clock. I sighed and turned back to Sasuke. "It's getting pretty late. You should head home before it gets too dark."

"Hn." He said and went to grab his things. I walked up to the door and opened it for him. He nodded his thanks and left without another word. I shut the door and sighed again. 'What a strange guy'
