3 days after court, louis and I finally made our way to the place where I'll be signing the adoption papers.
I would've come straight after court but the judge said that I couldn't adopt louis until social workers informed her that I was capable of being a good parent.
social workers came to my flat and checked if anything was in order. I'm sure they just wanted to check of any signs of drugs or alcohol.
they questioned when I showed them louis' clothes and toys and but they just gave me a warm smile.
and now here i am singing along to the album sounds good feels good.
louis giggled from the back seat as I loudly sang along to airplanes. I smiles looking at him from the mirror.
I brightened as i parked in front of the building. i turned the car off and got out to unbuckle louis from his seat.
"you'll soon be my son." I stated quietly kissing louis' forehead when I got him out.

I signed with my signature on the last page with a huge smile.
"congratulations, you've officially adopted louis as your son." the worker said after she made sure I signed all the papers needed.
louis clapped his hands and giggling happily. "dada!!!" he erupted in giggles.
"youre louis' legal guardian now. you have to take care of him and make sure he's loved at all times.and since youre a single parent, the government will give you $1k each month. and $800 in food stamps. also every month. but you have to show youre a responsible parent, because we also have the power to take him away. got it?"
I nodded trying to take everything that she just said.
"louis is no longer louis tomlinson, but louis styles, have a nice day and congratulations."
before I could say anything she left louis and I alone in her office. what a dramatic exit.
"you my dada for real!!! tim bye bye." he said jumping on me, startling me.
"yeah, im your father, youre my son." I said smiling so much it hurt my face. I embraced him in a hug.
i got a family, louis is now my family.

I held the money that the government gave me in my hands. $1k and a card with $800 for food.
this will be great.
"hey lou?" he hummed in response.
"want to go shopping?" I asked him with a huge smile. he nodded his head giggling shortly after.
We arrived at the shopping mall 20 minutes later, louis was really excited for new clothes.
I got a shopping putting louis in the seat right after. he whined about it, but it'd be terrible if he wondered off and someone took him. A terrible nightmare.
I didn't even bother going to boy's section, I went straight to where louis wanted to shop the most.
as soon when we arrived to our destination, my eyes gleamed as I saw a cute purple skirt.
I grabbed it showing it to louis. he made a happy squeal, he yanked it from me hugging it to his chest.
"dada I want." he said with a glint of hope. "of course baby." I replied watching him with admiration.

I huffed tiredly as I carried a lot of bags to my car with louis on back so I won't lose him.
let's just say louis almost wiped out the whole store.
that boy can shop like crazy. we shopped till we dropped, its exhausting.
its even more exhausting when he asked me if the bows he chose matched the outfit he was trying to match.
"cream?" he asked as I buckled him in his chair. I sighed nodding my head.
I guess we can have some ice cream after a long day.

I watched as louis happily ate his ice cream. I small smile plastered on my face.
"you're a good father." I jumped at the voice startling me. I looked over the owner of the sweet vanilla like voice.
it was a lady sitting by herself in a table in front of where I was sitting, enjoying a banana split.
'thank you' I mouthed giving her a thankful smile. she gave me a nod returning to her banana split.
by the time I looked back at louis, he was already looking at me.
"dada? thanks for keeping me." he said eating another spoonful of his strawberry ice cream.
"no need to thank me angel. you coming into my life will change my life completely for the better. I'll always love and protect you. I'll make sure youre happy at all times."
having a child to guide through life sounds scary, but I'll learn.
