ruby is taking too long. I got up walking to louis' room impatiently.
I rose an eyebrow in confusion, why would ruby have the need to close the door if she just came to put louis back to bed?
I don't think it'd take so long just to put a kid to bed.
I pressed my ear to the door trying to hear anything. I got frustrated once I couldn't hear anything but hushed whispers.
I tried opening the door quietly but failing, obviously. I let a loud gasp once I saw the scene in front of me.
louis holding his cheek in pain, and ruby still holding her hand up in the air.
why would she hit louis?
"what the hell?"
I'm beyond furious, no one hits louis, I said I'll protect louis, and I will.
ruby turned around with tears rolling down her face. my heart broke. "h-harry i-i"
"louis what did you do?" I asked crossing my arms over my chest. louis must've done something bad if he made ruby react the way she did.
"harry, he called me an u-ugly whore. im sorry I hit h-him I didn't mean to. it kind of just happened." ruby said as she looked down with a guilty look.
im shocked at this. I didn't even know louis knows these words.
I looked down at louis with a stern look. "apologise to ruby, louis."
"b-but I didn't even-"
"don't deny it. ruby just said what happened. and I really don't appreciate how youre acting up lately." I shook my head in disappointed at him.
I really am disappointed. he has never brought me trouble, until ruby came.
"now apologise to her" I said missing devilish grin from ruby. he hesitantly walked over to ruby with his head hung low.
"im sorry I called meanie things." he whispered only making eye contact with her for a second.
she quietly accepted his apology, with a kiss on the cheek. I smiled at this, ruby is so lovely.
"youre grounded for a week, which means no tv or dessert after dinner." he looked up from the ground immediately at the mention of not getting dessert for a week.
"but daddy-"
"no buts, now go to sleep." he nodded his head tucking himself in bed with no more arguments.
I sighed when I heard a quiet sob from under the blankets. I was about to go comfort him, so he can still know that I love him ,but a hand stopped me. I turned to ruby.
she gave me a small smile. " just leave him. he needs to understand that his behavior is not okay."
just because I punish him doesn't mean I don't love him anymore. I had to punish him so he knows that insulting someone is not okay.
"now, let's ditch ahs and let's get freaky in bed?" she whispered with a smirk. I quietly snorted.
"okay, but don't ever say that again." I said leading her out of louis' room and into mine.
