Chapter 20

*8 months pregnant*

I was walking in town, when I noticed a moving van.

"Who's that sis?" Eric asked.

"I don't know. Let's go see."

We walked over to the house, and tried looking for someone.

"Excuse me? Do you-" a voice was cut off as I turned around.

"Ariel?"

"Johnny?" 

I screamed and hugged him.

"Hey Eric." he said smiling.

"Where's Twila?" he asked excitingly. 

"In the house. Go say hi."

Eric smiled and ran into the house.

"So you live here now?"

"Yep. My family just moved here. I didn't know you lived here!"

"About a year."

"What's new? Other than you being pregnant?"

I smiled.

"Come meet the gang."

*At the Sandlot*

"Who's this?" Benny asked.

"Guys, meet my friend Johney."

Ella and Brielle screamed and hugged him.

"You guys live here too?"

"How do you know him?" Yeah-Yeah asked.

"I dated Ariel when she lived back upstate."

"Oh." Yeah-Yeah glared putting his arm around me.

"So this is the father?"

"Yeah. And if you hurt her or my children-"

"Children? So it's not one little monster, it's two."

"Monster? Those are my children!" Yeah-Yeah yelled.

"Yeah-Yeah wait! It's a joke between us. When we had to babysit our brother and sister, I would either go to his house or he would come to mine, and we would baby sit together. Eric and Twila were so hyper and crazy that we called them monsters."

"Well, welcome to town Johnny." Smalls said.

"Thanks. I think I should head back and continue helping unload the van."

"I'll come. Who else would show you the way?" I smiled.

"Thanks."

"See you guys later." I waved by to the others and walked away.

*Later that Day*

"I don't think he likes me." Johnny said.

We had just spent the last 2 hours unloading the van. Well, he unloaded it while I bossed him around. 

"Yeah-Yeah? He just doesn't want to lose me."

"Ariel, it's great seeing you again." He started leaning in.

"Stop. I'm with Yeah-Yeah."

"You know I still love you."

"What we had was real. But I moved on."

"You mean you moved." He said crossing his arms.

"I had no choice!"

"Look me in the eyes and tell me you don't still have feelings for me."
